Report: Avalanche could trade Duchene, Landeskog for young defensemen | theScore.com

We have young dmen...
would you do it for Duchene/Landeskog? If so, who would you give up?

With the emergence of Stecher, I wouldn't mind giving up Hutton. Though that's probably not enough.

Also re: Rattie; there are 5 teams ahead of the Canucks on the Waivers (6 if you count Arizona, but they are maxed out on contracts and wouldn't be able to sign him anyway).

dbaz 01-03-2017 02:32 PM

I believe theres 5 or 6 teams ahead of the canucks for priority on rattie. not sure if Arizona and nj drop in priority because they picked someone up yesterday. whatever team gets him will be happy, hitch didn't use him right

Nabatron 01-03-2017 04:22 PM

chances of dumb Jim picking a for sure asset in rattie is slim to none! like someone posted before is JB isn't trading a pick in return then it wont happen haha

dbaz 01-03-2017 05:29 PM

id think the chemistry with baer in juniors would force him to do it

AzNightmare 01-03-2017 05:34 PM

:lawl: There's no point getting Rattie.
You think WD would be smart enough to put him on the same line with Baer?

:fuckthatshit:

Nabatron 01-03-2017 06:15 PM

They good have picked up seth Griffith too since he played with bo in juniors as well but they didn't....

WD, if you want to be in the line up, you have to be a tiger first. To be a tiger you have to play with Dorsett first. lol

Canucks claim Reid Boucher off waivers
Canes claimed Rattie

looks to be a decent player with the AHL, put up some decent points with the Devils last season.

Matt Nieto also on waivers today

edit: http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2...g_the_mes.html

poor kid's been bounced around so much this year lol
seems like the Devils see some promise in him though

highfive 01-04-2017 08:37 AM

We're tied in points with Carolina. Are we ahead or are they ahead in the waivers list?

7seven 01-04-2017 08:38 AM

Devils & Predators fans all say this Boucher kid has a great shot, but can't skate at all to get into position to use that shot too often. He skates and moves like he has cement boots on apparently.

Canucks were ahead, they passed on Rattie.

It's too bad that this is a pretty important part of the game.
:awwyeah:

Anything is possible though, as we are seeing with Columbus right now.....

https://cdn1.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/KFq...nd-drink.0.gif

Columbus tied the record for most wins in a row, beating the Oilers 3-1 last night.
Without any big name stars. With a roster way under the cap. But most of all, they did it with Torts running the show. How in the hell did that happen?

murd0c 01-04-2017 09:05 AM

CBJ is one win away from tying for the most wins in a row... If they beat the Caps Thursday they play the Rangers on Sat to beat the record.

As per Wiki, the Penguins hold the current league record for longest winning streak at 17 games:

Longest Winning Streak
Overall: 17 games, by 1992–93 Pittsburgh Penguins

murd0c 01-04-2017 09:40 AM

correct and CBJ currently has 16 straight wins

Bro Jake and Pratt were talking this morning about how great it would be for Torts to win the game against the Rangers. They're the team who fired him under suspicious circumstances. He got his 500th win against Vancouver already to rub it in our faces. Breaking the record against the Rangers would be sweet for Torts, and a kick in the scrotum for the rest of us.

It's enough to make me believe that there is no higher power..... :emo:

Quality drafting, development and acquisition of good young players. Concept that unfortunately is foreign to the Canucks. Saad, Wennberg, Atkinson, Jones, Werenski & Savard while not "star" names yet have all been great and their development keeps progressing.

There is a higher power - except he doesn't like the Canucks. :troll:

trancehead 01-04-2017 07:45 PM

yup.and iirc CBJ was decimated by injuries last year

remember they made the playoffs 2 or 3 years ago as well.

slicrick 01-04-2017 08:11 PM

CBJ also has an ex-Vezina winning goalie in Bobrovsky, who's playing at the same level he did when he won the Vezina in the last shortened season (2012-2013)

MG1 01-04-2017 08:21 PM

Bo, Ho, Ho............ melly Xmas.

pastarocket 01-04-2017 08:21 PM
