Anybody else curious as to why none of the players with NTC haven't asked GMJB for a trade? I'm basing this query on the assumption that most, if not all, hockey players want a chance to win the Stanley Cup at some point in their careers. Clearly, the writing is on the wall with this group with the fact that its going nowhere fast.

AV (NYR 3rd in league),
Torts (CBJ 5th in league),
Sullivan (PITS won cup last season),
Gulutzan (CGY 3rd in division),
Willie D (AHL champion 2014)

You can't include Sullivan and Gulutzan since they were not the head coach... That being said Torts has a pretty impressive coaching staff when he was here.

Wasn't a big Torts fan but Willie makes him look like a genius.

I don't even know how Willie won a Calder Cup.
The guy couldn't outcoach a goat on the side if he tried. His player deployment and coaching capabalities are so shitty that even the usual dumbasses who call 1040 make more sense.

Sending out Gudbranson to tie a game is literally all you need to know about Willie.

The thing I didn't mind with Torts was he actually played the guys who were suppose to produce not this even minutes bullshit WD is doing. WD is like "to be good or real good we have to play everyone equal minutes to stay fresh and good. Need to be fresh and real good so we can make the playoffs!" I probably should of added more real goods in the but you get the point.

Remember when torts would play the sedins and kesler up to 20mins+ a game? I remember they had it up on CBC back in they day to show if the players could handle it everynight. Then you see WDs deployment and you got guys playing 13-16 mins a game and have the 4th line playing as much as everyone else....

Torts didn't do anything good while he was here, disaster from start to finish... I won't reminisce about that time what all. If I miss any coach it's Vigneault, minus his frustrating inability to make adjustments in the playoffs when his system does get exposed.

Miss AV for sure. Hell of a coach and just a likeable guy IMO.

What happen to calling him the gum chewing idiot that never called timeouts when necessary. What happened to team needed a change up cause they stopped responding to AV's system, etc. etc.

Av was good in hindsight but he had his problems too. Rome. Losing in playoffs. Basically unwilling to call timeout when Chicago is breathing down our neck. Still remmeber that year where he kept playing Mitchell against Kane and getting exposed.

All set and done, where do we draw the line if it's more of the coaches issue or the personnel?

I really think we needed that top 2 dman. That stud dman edler was supposed to be.

During the 2011, our defence was more of a group of top 6 guys and never really had that stud defenceman. Hoff. Salo. And bieksa stepped up at times but we needed that doughty, Keith, seabrook, chara.

WD is doing that too.
Most games, he is playing the twins 20+ minutes.
Bo gets around 18 minutes and the 4th liners are getting 7-8 minutes unless their name is Dorsett who was getting 15 minutes.

Even in that game against Tampa, with the score 5-1. he was still playing the twins late in the third period.

^wtf you are referring to Canucks head coach WD? the guy who started bo on the 4th line at the beginning of the year? This coach is a guy who likes to balance everyones playing time regardless of the score or situation...Bo is getting more minutes not just because of his play it is because the media has been grinding him with questions to play him more not because the coach thinks he should play more....
