Final trade is ... To STL: 2017 1st, conditional pick (see above), Sanford, Malone To WSH: Shattenkirk (39% retained), Copley |
word is that this year draft sucks ass. therefore, GMs arnt valuing picks as much |
I'm still surprised that Benning has traded for so many Europeans. You would think he would build the team on nothing but meat and potatoes. 2nd round for Baerstchi Hunter for Granlund Burrows for Dahlen All 6' and under guys too. You would think benning would look for bigger grittier guys. |
I'm not surprised since the game is moving towards being more quicker and less gritty. Look how Baer and Granlund payed out so far which every Canuck fan is more then happy about. |

Damn, just checked and Dumb and Dumber is giving out the wrong info as usual. Pierre LeBrun just reminding people that the Nucks still have a second round pick coming, either this season or next. |
Interesting. According to Frank Seravalli, Sens are still short 1 forward to expose at the expansion draft, after Burr's signing. His NTC doesn't apply with the contract extension. Hmmm.... |
Benning mentioned on News1130 radio this morning that he's received trade offers for Miller. -hoping to see Hansen not play in the Detroit game tonight. That would be a sign that JB has a trade in play for Honey Badger. :considered: |
From what I gathered, Sharks are pretty much the only other team that are somewhat keen on a competitive backup. Since Benning and co are high on Miller, and Markstrom is DTD, I just can't see a trade ever happening. No one will offer anything better than what Tampa got for Bishop and I think that's the neighborhood Benning will be looking at. Hansen trade if it ever happens will probably be a last minute deal at the deadline. |
if they do trade miller they will ride bachman and markstrom till end of season I guess once markstrom is back from injury |
Not sure why SJ would want Miller, Dell has been pretty good as the backup when called upon. If Calgary, I can see Johnson coming back in a package, Canucks can finish the year out with Markstrom/Johnson combo. Gryba lol |
Wishing Burrows all the best. It would be awesome to see him hoist the cup, 'cause it would never happen in Vancouver. With him gone, there is no reason to even follow the VanHoover Cannots. Watching a Sedin giving excuses night after night is not my cup of tea. |
same logic as LA Budaj was a good back up and put up decent numbers as a starter in Quick's absence i seriously doubt Miller would waive to go to Calgary |
Teams who are wanting starters as back ups is for the insurance if anything happens to their starting goalies they have and experienced 1b to take over. If teams that have a legitimate chance at making a long cup run do these trade just for the insurance. Edmonton should be doing the same thing with a rookie back up. If Talbot, Jones, Quick ect go down to teams really have faith in their back up boarder line NHL goaltenders? I would honestly think not. |
Calgary and sj mulling over miller |
Alberta teams not on Millers trade list |
so? can still ask him if a deal comes up. wouldn't be the first time that's happened to a player |
Im guessing its either ducks or sharks but nothing else... |
Carolina got a 3rd round pick for Viktor fucking Stalberg Canucks should get a 5th-7th for their plugs. Skille, Chaput, Megna, Larsen. Sell sell sell! |

*goes off to check tradetracker........ damn..... |
sounds like Maxim Shalunov is going to be joining the hawks for the playoffs. free top 9 player lol 24year old highly touted black hawks prospect. 37pts in 49 games in khl blackhawks and kings have inquired and apparently made offers for chara |
If blues traded Shattenkirk and Kings got Bishop does that mean Blues are not trying for the playoffs anymore? Subban for Yakupov? :D |
dude, Megna has more goals than Yakupov. I know he played 10 more games than Yak but Jayson Megna. |
