I believe it was Gaudette?

This is only Gaudette's 2nd college year. He can't walk away until he's in his 4th college year. Same with Boeser.

The Club need not make a Bona Fide Offer to such Player to retain such rights.

Sorry but I haven't read/seen/heard anything on him.

All my information on Gaudette comes from this forum, and from what I gather the general jist is:

1. He loves Boston as he's from the area (and by proxy, hates Vancouver with a passion)
2. He is going to stay in college for one more year to bulk up, or as Van fans call it...
3. He's very likely to walk at the end of his college career and become a free agent, and likely join a team in the northeast.

Until they close the loophole college guys are always going to be a risky proposition. That said, it goes both ways. I'm sure he wouldn't go for UFA status without his representation creating a market for him.

dbaz 03-01-2017 05:11 PM

^ he did not say he was staying to bulk up.

linden said he was told that gaudette wants to stay another year. hopes he bulks up

I'm not saying he said he wanted to bulk up. That checklist was the information I gather from reading this thread regarding Gaudette. The thread's collective hopes and fears lol

dbaz 03-02-2017 05:29 AM

anyways, would be amazing if we could move to top 2 in the draft. completely changes the teams outlook in 4months.

- hovat boeser
baerstchi -
- gaudette Virtanen

to

- horvat boeser
baerstchi Patrick/Hischier goldobin
dahlen gaudette Virtanen

depending if gaudette signs

Expresso 03-02-2017 07:44 AM

Boeser needs to sign too.

6o4__boi 03-02-2017 08:21 AM

Goldobin NOT playing tonight.
Still sorting out Visa issues like Hansen apparently.

Likely to be available next game.

So much for watching tonight's game.

Nabatron 03-02-2017 08:32 AM

yah ill still watch it after work. Want to see how new guy cramarossa does, yah I know he is just a bottom 6 guy. But I think he would be a better upgrade over doresett and obviously cheaper/younger.

pastarocket 03-02-2017 09:10 AM

C'mon Willie, get the tank game going against San Jose tonight!

Help those Sharks get a better position in the standings before the playoffs!
LUL

Imagine what it will be like when Burr returns to play against the Nucks. :QQ:

he seems to be our easiest college signing in years. coach has come out saying boeser will be gone at the end of the year. jost has publicly said that boeser told him hes leaving this year.

6o4__boi 03-02-2017 02:56 PM

i wouldn't count the eggs just yet lol, this is the Canucks after all.

I wonder if Rodin comes back next year...i really hope he does. We could still use him.

Canucks should make every effort to get Gaudette to sign to an ELC. If they want him to bulk up, he can do that at the AHL. It's not like he'll be the only 175lb player in the A.

murd0c 03-02-2017 03:29 PM

I'm worried about Rodin as well not re-signing with the Canucks especially after the way WD treated him.

Renthal 03-02-2017 04:05 PM

burrows with his first goal as a sen..

Nabatron 03-02-2017 04:16 PM

if lost rodin I am not worried he is going to need a lot of rehab before he comes back to 100%

dbaz 03-02-2017 04:24 PM

yea, it doesn't seem like a big loss. but you would like to see a full season out of him, especially since it looked like there might have been some chemistry with baer and bo

murd0c 03-02-2017 05:28 PM

thats two fro Burrows so far... on 1040 driving home Moj was giving Ryan 10:1 odds if Burrow's got a hat trick and he wouldn't take it lol

Ch28 03-02-2017 05:38 PM

Atta boy, Burr! Show the eastern bias guys why we love you

Hondaracer 03-02-2017 05:43 PM

:feelsbadman:

Good for him though, one of the greatest canucks of all time and imo a better all time Canuck than Naslund or Smyl.
