Given how bad Sid played after attempting to fly head first into the boards, we might not be getting a peak matchup if it came down to that. He was passing pucks that were off by several feet. Not a good sign.

If the Oilers didn't have McDavid I think I'd have no issues cheering them on like I am currently with the Sens (can't beat a good story or 5). Draisatl has been nothing short of god-like and I'm a big fan of him as a player. But it still irks me that they're all of a sudden a 2nd-round playoff team after 10 years of complete trash and a big stroke of luck. Yes I'm jealous.

The new kids are exciting. I doubt Horvat is ever going to be a franchise player, and I would hope that Stecher stays healthy for a small defenseman. But there is hope as a Canucks fan.

If they could only draft and retain some talent, it would be nice.
