Yeah, what's the big deal? We're tanking, right? RIGHT?!

pastarocket 03-09-2017 08:47 AM

Maybe we can finally have a local sports radio station on FM. :awwyeah:

It's about time that we had a "rebuild" of the Vancouver sports radio scene just like the Canucks.

Maybe a female radio host who is knowledgeable about hockey would help Vancouver sports radio would get more listeners? Get someone with a sexy voice.

If Sportsnet has some pretty hosts on TV like Caroline Cameron, Evanka Osmak, Carly Agro, and Jacky Redmond why can't you have a female radio host for Sportsnet radio here?

You would not be able to see the hot girl while she talks on the radio, but hey, that sexy voice might attract more listeners to the show. LUL

I don't think you're going to get your wishes.

It's supposedly James Cybulski on AM 1130

Did you miss this part?

“And they have this thing called a ‘change up’, when a player is not on form, not scoring. The manager will call a ‘change up’, and basically that player has to go out and ruin himself for the night, then come back the next day, with the attitude of you just don’t care.

“So they send him out, drink 20 pints, go off with a couple of women, whatever he wants. And come back the next day. That’s the way they live. It’s the culture, what they believe in, letting off steam like that. I don’t know if they look at the science behind it.”

?Change up?: Irish hurler Lee Chin shocked by Canucks drinking culture | The Province

Quote:

Sportsnet’s Canucks TV host Dan Murphy poured cold water on the “change up” idea and poked fun at broadcast colleague John “Cheech” Garrett, tweeting, “been around the team a long time, never heard a whisper about a change up. 20 pints. Caman. Maybe Cheech.” Garrett, of course, is a former NHL goalie.

“This org that once took chocolate off the plane and didn’t let players eat pizza. Doubt management would be on board for a change up,” Murphy added.
Can't wait to hear them talk about this on TSN1040. My personal feeling is that I bet it is being overplayed as all reality TV shows do to up their ratings.

highfive 03-09-2017 11:27 AM

Question is who the fuck cares about what a hurler thinks?

Sorry, I had to look up what sport a hurler is.

6o4__boi 03-09-2017 11:28 AM

lol i had to look it up too

looks like Field Hockey, rugby and some soccer combined

pastarocket 03-09-2017 11:46 AM

Hurler? :suspicious:

The guy is a professional athlete who excels in puking? LUL

Possibly 2 goals on 1 play?

PiuYi 03-09-2017 09:49 PM

Durrann 03-09-2017 10:37 PM
