that's why you go for a middle aged player with some term who can play a position on the team, and let your prospects play a couple years in the ahl.

The team needs one of biega or sbisa to hit the gp mark for the expansion draft. otherwise you have to expose one of tanev or gudbranson. i dont understand why people start bitching about this. until sbisa hits that gp mark, biega has to be up on the team as an extra

he would have to waive him again, imo murray would claim him again, and you'd have a player that would be constantly being waived by 2 teams. what a waste.


problem with picking up players that would make the ahl team better is they have higher ahl salaries/bonuses than the players we already have down there. blueberry picker has to pay that, and hes not gonna make much on the canucks this year, so he wont want to spend extra on the ahl team.

Etem once he was on waivers from Anaheim the Canucks had first choice to him since someone picked him up and he would either go to the Canucks or straight to Utica without being able to go thru waivers again a 3rd time

unless they changed the rules, they would have first dibs to pick him up, but would still have to send him down again. + that 775k ahl salary would upset blueberry picker

Didn't somebody say that the reason behind etem is that he's a new dad and that picking him up and sending him to Utica would put him and his family another move. Whereas ahl for the ducks is in San Diego. Basically nobody is going to be a dipshit and claim him knowing he's better in Cali.
