^nothing else is new on this! Look what they did with kassian.....any young guy on this roster will get fucked! Even with Bo they are hindering his development. Guy starts the season on the 4th line and expect him to produce. He has moved up the line up but still not getting the OZ starts that he should.

McIlrath and Paajarvi clear waivers

i hope the Sedins sign on a contender after this season..dudes deserve another shot for the cup

Talk on TSN this morning is a trade.
Virtanen for EKane9

Kane will be going to court on monday for;

Quote:

He was arrested in July, a month after allegedly grabbing three women by the hair and neck in separate instances during an altercation at a downtown Buffalo bar. Kane, who was forcibly removed from the bar by security staff, has pleaded not guilty to four counts of noncriminal harassment, one count of disorderly conduct and one count of misdemeanour trespass.
Evander Kane blames legal issues on being targeted as athlete - NHL on CBC Sports - Hockey news, opinion, scores, stats, standings

He is troubled, but also skilled. Not to mention in the interview he seemed a lot more mature than in the past. Could he be the next Seguin? Or Hall? and actually become that leader in the room?

:lol

It's not peewee hockey out there. Those guys have such great ice vision that the chances of them getting a "too many men" penalty is small enough that they don't need to sprint to the gate after a shift.

Nabatron 10-28-2016 08:30 AM

lol what a joke this GM is! He could have picked up some RFA's for nothing instead he is keeping guys like skille and biega.....

Nabatron 10-28-2016 08:32 AM

I wouldn't take a flyer on kane unless we get him for nothing the guy screams ego....so by saying this JB will trade for him..

I wasn't going to be surprised if the Leafs passed on McIlrath and Paajarvi but I am surprised the 29 other teams did the same.

6thGear. 10-28-2016 08:50 AM

What a joke the other 29 GM's are.......:troll:

6o4__boi 10-28-2016 08:51 AM

I might actually consider Kane for Virtanen swap.

I wouldn't have last year...but if what he's saying is true, and he's not actually injured, then his current run of play is scary and amounts to be the weakest, softest 9-11 minutes from a supposed physical player. For his sake I hope he's nursing some shoulder ailment.

And tbh, i don't hold high hopes for Virtanen at this point. His development might already have been fucked up thanks to Willie so swapping him for an established skill in Kane might not be a bad idea.

When the media convoy finally pulled away from Jake Virtanen’s dressing room stall Thursday afternoon, Henrik Sedin slid over, gave him a pat on the shoulder and chuckled something along the lines of “look at all those people.”
This was after his comments about lack of playing time. If the Sedins don't even like him, Canucks should trade this kid ASAP.

Another draft failure.

I don't get what your saying? Sedin gave Jake a pat on the back but you think the sedins don't like him?

pastarocket 10-28-2016 10:08 AM

If Evander is traded from Buffalo to Vancouver, all the bouncers and ladies in clubs in the Lower Mainland need to be on high alert. :troll:

Put a Budweiser Red Light in a club as an early warning system of a HurriKane.

^ lol hurrikane...maybe it's the coffee kicking in but I had a good laugh.

Kane for Virtanen is stupid. Unless buffalo is taking baggage for baggage no way.

Odd since they could have put him in the minors. I guess they really see no value with him anymore.

Talk that Etem is a new father, lives in the LA area. Ducks to send him down to their farm team in San Diego. If canucks were to repick him back up and ship him off to Utica, kinda crappy situation for Etem and honestly he doesntly really offer much that you can't easily find elsewhere in the league. At least 29 other NHL GM's agree too. Letting him go was the right hockey and human move.

Having said that not that long ago that Markstrom cleared waivers too...

What you're saying is ridiculous. Remember that Kassian was a project already when we got him from Buffalo. Remember that we gifted him to the Canadiens because NObody wanted him. Remember that he was shipped off to the Oilers after he still couldn't get his off ice act together with the Habs. It looks like Kassian has finally heard at least part of the message, but make no mistake this is not one you can pin on the Canucks.

He did it sarcastically, saying look around at the other players around you when you're complaining about ice-time. Maybe I misread that entirely lol, but it is known he is not a dressing room favourite. Burrows has made comments about his drive in the past.

Sedin's comment about "Look at all those people" made most of us think he was referring to the reporters, not the other players in the room.

Jmac 10-28-2016 12:41 PM

It's hard to get a read on the comments without context, but it seems more likely to me that he was referring to the media swarm than teammates.

Nabatron 10-28-2016 01:02 PM

how the hell can you figure out if the Sedins were saying it sarcastically? and how would we even know that from your post...

Mike Oxbig 10-28-2016 02:39 PM

Kane will be the superstar for Las Vegas

Expresso 10-28-2016 03:43 PM

Seems out of character for Henrik.

dbaz 10-28-2016 03:56 PM

expect virtanen to get benched/less minutes after this

"The lines have been changed pretty much every day so you’re not sure who you’re playing with,” he told the Vancouver media this week. “If you’re in the lineup, you like being able to get chemistry with your teammates and your linemates especially. And with Bo [Horvat] and Baertsch [Sven Baertschi], we do have chemistry. But when we’re switched around a lot it’s kind of hard to get that line going all the time. I have to play my game each and every night, but it’s hard to keep it going."

should of been sent to the ahl

Liquid_o2 10-28-2016 04:09 PM

He probably should keep quiet, but he's speaking the truth. Willie has been like that since he came to the Canucks. Keeps throwing shit at the wall with no rhyme or reason until it sticks.

He kept our shitty 2nd PP unit together all year in the first year despite them not scoring a goal for the first 70-odd games ...
