Clearly just patriots. $15 isn't even enough to cover transportation and food for the day

I read they were movie extras. So for $75/hr, that's not bad pay. Since you are actors ... start acting!

GLOW 01-25-2020 12:10 PM

story got blown wide open, acting fail Kappa

whitev70r 05-26-2020 06:03 PM

Here we go ... verdict comes down tomorrow.

Nope, US gets mad, and China still won't release the 2 Michaels.

twitchyzero 05-26-2020 11:39 PM

my prediction: Meng's extradition won't go through, the 2 Canadians rot in Chinese gulag for few more years but will come home eventually, but we turn down Huawei 5G

StylinRed 05-27-2020 12:11 AM

It's already been reported in China that she's let go and will be on her way home by the weekend, and they used the promo photos she took at the courthouse the other day.

So either they're all in for a shocker, or our courts are just a farce, and the deals and verdicts have already been made

I think this is the most likely outcome too.

By letting Meng go, whatever anti-China Canadian have will reach a high point, and by turning down Huawei in 5G will make the libs look good, or at the very least, justifiable on those voters who hold a neutral stance on China/Huawei.

I'd be more surprised if it turns out any other way.

Or of course there's the American conspiracy theory.... we'd give in to Trump's US request and both send Meng to US and deny Huawei. Yes, there's the Chinese Conspiracy theory, but given that JT is minority, chances of JT et al taking that route is slim to none as it's basically asking for a reelection/non-confidence vote.

Cons dont have any leadership (Scheer on his way out)
NDP is broke
Greens (see above)

The Libs are not exactly worried these days about another election.

Gotta say I'm surprised! But this is how it should be.

Im glad that our legal system prevailed.

As the judge ruled, it’s fraud that’s at the center of this double criminality question. And if it was Canada having a sanction against Iran and she lied to the bank, the same fraud charge would constitute as a crime in Canada as well.

It shows China that the foundation of our society, which are the laws that govern us is still what it is. We follow it down to the words.
