Hamonic on PTO |
It's official. Horgan announced that the Canucks can play at Rogers Arena this season with no fans in attendance for all games. @jjhorgan After speaking with @fr_aquilini yesterday about the NHL’s return-to-play plan, I’m pleased to confirm the enhanced health measures being put in place for the upcoming season mean games can safely be played here in BC. Lets go @Canucks! https://www.citynews1130.com/2021/01...or-nhl-season/ |

im just glad there'll be hockey to watch again. what i'm not looking forward to is the even greater amount of leafs talk/news/coverage there'll be now that we're in the same division. |
So Rogers arena games against Montreal and Toronto are a 4pm start? |
|
The Canadian Juniors team was so economical today. No waste whatsoever. The godless commies, not so much. All that wasted energy. Da, Da, Canada! Nyet, Nyet, Soviet............wait............. USSR not around. |
Hoping for upset between the americans and the fins. USA, Go Away........... |
Wow, game is now tied.................. Suomi, Suomi, Suomi ! ! ! |
What a finish! Oh well. |

^ you mean vets like Loui Eriksson? Don't hold your breath. |

The only one you're going to see maybe is Juolevi starting on D. The rest of the lineup is pretty much set minus who is going to play LW on the 3rd or 4th lines between Roussel and MacEwen etc. |

I think Loui seeing the writing on the wall and knows he will be riding in the press box the entire season. Hoglander on the other hand looked like one of the best players on the ice, I'm very confident he is going to be starting in a top 6 roll playing with Horvat and Pearson. |
https://www.citynews1130.com/2021/01...ned-divisions/ Our Canucks play in the Scotia NHL North Division. I guess we may see a Scotiabank logo on player's helmets? :lawl: -from the article: With NHL revenues taking a hit during the COVID-19 pandemic due to lack of fan attendance, the league has brought on four sponsors for the names of the new four divisions in its re-aligned schedule. According to a press release, the new NHL division names are: • Scotia NHL North Division (Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg) • Honda NHL West Division (Anaheim, Arizona, Colorado, Los Angeles, Minnesota, San Jose, St. Louis, Vegas) • Discover NHL Central Division (Carolina, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Florida, Nashville, Tampa Bay) • MassMutual NHL East Division (Boston, Buffalo, New Jersey, NY Islanders, NY Rangers, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington) Tuesday’s announcement follows an agreement between the NHL and NHLPA that allows teams to sell ad space on player helmets for the first time. |

he obviously isn't being serious with that jab lol. probably just a throw back comment to the summit series. |

I think he means Juolevi. |

Side note: Perused the schedule a little bit and it looks like we play the same team 2-3 times in a row. I've noticed when Eastern teams visit Vancouver, we give up an early game or two. But when Vancouver goes East, we don't get the same treatment its all early 4/430pm games :smug: |
