To the people who still mentions Toffoli's name. Seriously guys, GET OVER IT! Do you guys realize Toffoli is currently 3rd in the NHL in goals? Only guys with more goals than him is Matthews and McDavid. Toffoli has more goals than Ovechkin, Crosby, MacKinnon, Draisaitl, Pastrnak etc etc. Toffoli is performing more like a guy who gets paid 9 million. Nobody and I mean NOBODY could've predicted this. Not Benning, not Bergevin, not Toffoli himself. He's obviously having a career year and good on him for it. But lets see how he does next year when he's not facing the same 6 weak defensive Canadian teams.

Well, he did have 6 goals in 10 regular season games with us.

And then 2 goals in 7 playoffs games... while playing hurt for the most part...

So not even being generous or accounting for him playing hurt in the playoffs, we could have expected him to score just under .5 goals per game with us given the sample size (8 goals in 17 games) then yah, it is pretty reasonable to expect that he could have at least 22 or 23 goals right now after 45 games played. It's not like he's playing with amazing players in Montreal. Montreal just has way better defense than us and an overall much more solid bottom 6.

Prior to this season, Toffoli has scored 145 goals in 525 career games which puts him at 0.276 goals per game. Times that by 47 games played would put him right at 13 goals if we go by his career average. He currently has 27 goals. So double his career average. Also, if he was so good with the Canucks, why did he last until day 3 of free agency to be signed? None of the other 29 GMs jumped on him in the first 48 hours of free agency opening. Like I said, lets see how he does next year when he has to face the NHL's best goalies like Vasilevskiy, Grubauer, MAF, Varlamov whom all play for US teams

Well LA did play a defensive minded system which is probably why Toffolis # are much better in Van & Montreal. The reason why people cant let it go is cause people instantly hated that Toffoli was let go and Virtanen was re-signed. And it took less than a couple weeks into the season to show them that they were right to feel that way and its been getting worse as the season progressed.

Gaudette saying not to believe everything u hear on social media and that his wife doesnt deserve what shes is receiving. Now im kinda intrigued what the real story is..... but hard to ignore the fact none of his teammates wished him goodbye on social media when its kinda customary to do so.

I find it a bit strange that neither Aquaman or Benning have not made a public statement about the league’s independent investigation about Virtanen.

This is a serious situation for Jake and a PR nightmare for the Canucks.

Is a mere public statement enough without the team owner or the GM saying something in public about sexual misconduct allegations against PerVirt?

Our Canucks have become probably one of if not the worst run organization in the league. Certainly I feel like we might be worse than Ottawa now and that's saying something.... maybe Arizona is still worse off but I'm not so sure anymore. THere's a darkness around this team I haven't experienced as a fan since the Messier era, and that was even before the Virtanen story broke.

I'm even concerned about our superstars to be honest... like getting a bit worried if Hughes finds some way to bounce on us and doesn't re-sign, you can go back and read his comments all year long and see his body language I feel like it reads as if he doesn't want to be here anymore and I'm not sure I can blame him. I know he's got limited options coming off his entry level deal but...............

Hughes body language is probably because he’s been getting burned out there at times. People have the book on him and he’s playing with the big boys now.. can’t get away with what he has been his whole life. He’s nearly a defensive liability with huge offensive upside.

I don’t think the young core is going anywhere. Flat cap and COVID have made this season difficult for the Canucks but this is not the Messier era IMO.

Now you guys are upset Tryamkin isn't coming back? At best, he's a younger cheaper version of Tyler Myers. He's big, not gifted offensively and not overly physical. This is the NHL, not NBA, being a big D isn't much of an advantage. Other than Chara and Hedman, what other big D has had a great career? 3 of the best young Dman today, Quinn Hughes, Cale Makar and Adam Fox are all under 5'11"

The VPD says they have made contact with the complainant after learning of the allegations in media coverage over the weekend. Police tell NEWS 1130 they are unable to currently provide further details “in the interest of privacy and to protect the integrity of the investigative process.”
