Anybody given any thought as to who you think the Canucks will lose in the upcoming expansion draft? Before the season began, my pick was Holtby but safe to say now Seattle won't be picking him. I really hope we don't lose Motte. But I can't see a scenario where the Canucks don't protect him. On capfriendly's quick protect list, they have the Canucks exposing Eriksson, Sutter, Pearson, Ferland, Beartshi, Beagle, Roussel, Edler, Benn, Hamonic and Holtby. Only guys I would miss on that list would be Pearson and Edler, but don't see Seattle taking a 35 year old dman.

Capfriendly's quick protect list sure has a lot of flaws.............

Eriksson can't be selected, he has a modified no-trade clause... Pearson isn't signed next season, Ferland is on LTIR, I don't know who Bear is (the guy from Edmonton?!), Beagle, Sutter and Roussel all have modified no trade clauses, Edler, Benn and Hamonic are all UFA's after this season...

So out of that entire list, I think only Holtby is eligible to be exposed. I suspect you will see either Motte or Myers taken... maybe Lind if the Kraken are looking to get prospects.

Bear as in Sven Baertschi. I think you got modified no trade clause confused with a no movement clause. I'm pretty sure guys with NTC's can still be exposed

Canucks D doing a better job at getting back quickly to cancel that breaking pass they do. Even Meyers was fast!

i'll give Myers credit, he's getting back in time to breakup the plays through the neutral zone. BoHo has made quite a few creative plays this period. Juolevi with that big hit and looking more and more like he belongs (despite all that criticism before he even played a single game for us). Hoglander looking hungry as always. Lotto line has been pretty invisible so far.

Now, I honestly wonder if the Canucks spend any time creating a highlight reel showing Jake just how fucking awful he's been. Seriously, if he keeps playing like this he's going to lose his career in the NHL real quick.
