Calling for another shit show by the Canucks tonight |
How many goals do you think the Oilers will spot the Canucks before they start playing real hockey? 2, 3, 4? |

The Canucks had a team meeting this morning. As per Iain McIntyre on Sportsnet, the team talked about how to handle "pressure". https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...ematch-oilers/ As a long suffering Canucks fan since the early 80s, I am not waving a white towel on this team. I hope the players man up. Hold each other accountable. Each player has each player's back on the ice. We have heard all the cliches in sports. One game at a time. One shift at a time. It will take a 60 minute effort from every player to beat the Oilers tonight and turn the season around. Leave it all on the ice. I wouldn't mind seeing Roussel or McEwen get into a fight in tonight's game to pump up the team. Play with intensity, and controlled aggression. The team needs a huge confidence boost. Beating the Oilers would be a welcome boost. Go Canucks go! :gun: -from Nate Schmidt: “Confidence is what makes any athlete play at their best,” defenceman Nate Schmidt said Wednesday. “If you're confident in your own game and you're confident in what you're doing, you don't have to think much. You just go out and play. You don't have to worry about if they score, you're not worried about (bad) things that are happening in the game. “We have a team that's got swag, and if you go out and play with it, you play well. You try and have that mentality, like: I can make that play, we're in this thing for a reason, we can do these types of things. And you've got to go out and back it up. “This is a game full of mistakes and whoever makes the least amount of them usually comes out on top. Having that belief in your team and the other guys is something that's incredibly vital to your success as a group and as an individual. |
Just want to see another game with high effort. The fact that they're trying to win keeps me going as a fan. When teams give up, then there's no point in watching. |
It is what it is at this point I just want entertaining games and not to be blowing these painful leads/games lol |
Just remember that Canucks have played 41% of their games already, so the team is what it is at this point. The 4 leading teams in front of them basically have to play at a 40 point season pace the rest of the season to make it into the playoffs while the Canucks need to play at some ridiculous 120 pt pace :lol |
Demko is playing really well tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Game could be 4-0 LUL |
Mike Smith with the pad stack LUL |
Ah hug the post man ... |
McChicken so good........ |
Yep... these kind of games happen. When you put in the effort but the other goalie just plays solid, even better than your own. That's why you're supposed to win the games where you have a strong lead and control of the game and not blow them. So that way when games like this happen, it's only just "one loss", instead of just more salt being dumped on the wound. |
Good game |

Knew the game started at 5:00 pm, set the alarm for 5:00 pm, took a seniors nap, hit the snooze button, then cancelled the alarm. Woke up and saw score was 3-0, so went back to sleep. Just realized the Numbnucks were ahead 3-0 not the other way around. Gulolololow... |
It's been so long since their last game that I forgot about this one! Up 3-0 let's see if they lose 4-3 Kappa |
Cranked up the PVR....... 2 goals in 11 seconds, Nice! New month, new life............. Dumpster fire of a month, over. |
