Another interesting BMW just popped up - manual-swapped E39 540i wagon:

Price is OBO, will consider a trade for something comparable in price and appeal

Very desirable 540i Wagon
Car sounds amazing with the Eisenmann sport exhaust, and its been manual swapped so its a real drivers car.

- V8 power E39 Touring
- 6-speed manual transmission swap.
- 17-inch Style 66 wheels
- Dinan intake
- Eisenmann sport muffler
- Dinan springs and front strut tower brace
- Euro-spec headlights

Timing chain was replaced in April 2025
Everything works, no engine lights

Some chips and scratches around the exterior
Scratches on passenger-side rear wheel
Some wear on seats and interior trim
Some rust on some underbody components
Car is stored in underground parking
Lots of Service documentation

The instrument cluster was replaced in April 2025, and as a result the tamper dot on the instrument cluster is illuminated.
The odometer reads in metric units and displays approximately 266332 kilometers but the true mileage is unknown.

That passenger side door seems to have some stories (repainted and different shade than the rest of the car)

JDMDreams 10-26-2025 10:16 PM

Yea he added an extra $2 in front, that's a $8000 e39 with mystery miles, $28000 will get you into m5 all day everyday

bcuzracecarz 10-27-2025 07:05 AM

Yea but it’s pretty

I don't know if this is a good buy, but pricing seems reasonable for a well-kept final MY 2009 V12 SL600. It's a good example from an MB era that still catered towards old money.

But that car is ugly. You need a R129

JDMDreams 10-27-2025 04:01 PM

O wow it's a 600 I wonder if it still has abc? Or just air, the front and sides makes it look like a 63 and not sure if that v12 badge is OEM. Interior colour is kinda mid though. If you can get it in the $40s pretty good deal. R129 is kinda too old, too many hydraulics to fail and I'm sure this is much nicer as a daily cuz it's so much newer rather than just a weekend car.

JDMDreams 10-27-2025 04:04 PM

Just looked it up, by now the v12 is bi turbo so no longer screaming v12 and also still has abc FeelsBadMan

This seems interesting.

Not exactly cheap, but a new well sorted MX5 isn't far off, and this is somewhat collectible.

Those were supposed to be pretty special. Would give loong a heart attack trying to clean those fender flares though. They were priced stupid new and dealers put a premium on them.

JDMDreams 10-28-2025 11:43 AM

But auto, does rocks just get stuck in the fenders

red kryptonite 10-28-2025 04:40 PM

I posted that GP back when I was searching. I’m surprised it hasn’t sold yet… well not THAT surprised, it’s a high ask.

Considering what they sell for in Europe.. that isn't too egregious a mark up. I do wonder how they manged to register it here.

My highly uneducated guess would have been to bring them here as kit cars and re-assemble them to be registered as such. I could very well be wrong.

From another chat

"He was relentless with ICBC, spend big on lawyers, fabricated parts to meet regulations & so on. I was in talks with him extensively as I wanted my Ariel Atom street legal as well. But I’m not willing to jump the hoops he did to do it, I can’t believe he’s selling it."
