I really don't have an idea.

A water-methanol system is there for cylinder cooling and an octane booster. It's a relatively cheap way to get some more power in a boosted car. I have a system in my car, and on they dyno its almost 60 whp because my engine generates so much heat.

If I run out of methanol, it just runs a pump tune (with a lot less timing).

I think you're confusing spacers with staggered wheel/tire sizes. Spacers have no effect on AWD systems. Staggered tire sizes *some* cars can get away with if the outer diameter is close enough but it's a lot of hassle and potential risk.

There was a Subaru STI that was in the shop at CTMP where its entire drivetrain was destroyed mid-track and had to get towed in. It was running some massive spacers and odd-ball wheel/tires. Ales, transfer case, you name it. Destroyed. Engine was okay though?

Customary post whenever a Spectrum comes up (whether is it a good value or not), very interesting and unique colour !! Champaign metallic (1 of 4 in effin NA!), fair asking price (I think) at $31,500. With a bit of extended warranty for peace of mind.

Oh damn... I like that Golf R, even with it's champagne pink colour! But then it is more money than I have, and I promised myself I'd never get back into another VW after a 15+ year stink with 2 VWs, esp when it is 100k+ km.

Spektrum turned into a bit of a sensitive subject here at one point. My fault - I got a bit defensive.

I still think this is one of the more interesting things a big OEM did at the time. The following for them is thriving. That's like 22 grand USD - it would sell down there for that quickly I believe.

Mk7.5 still looks so good too - in any colour. Might not drive like the newer cars - but it's much prettier. :gay:
