I once listened to some of those reels, it was a woman talking about a bunch of dudes. She and her partner and a bunch of friends went camping, she was tired and stayed behind and rested/fell asleep in the tent, everyone went to the beach or lake or whatever.

For whatever reason all the guys came back without the women and they all sat around eating and talking shit. Literally, talking about shit. She said she thought guys would talk about women, or sex, or cars, or work, whatever, but no, all the guys literally talked about their shits for the whole time.

Not unlike us.

I carved a pumpkin for the first time in my life. This is the spookiest thing to see on track as a Type R owner.

Emissions error - Revmatch disabled = any range of faults from overheating, low fuel, limp mode, etc

Back when I didn't know how to Revmatch or heel toe THIS CAR (it's oddly diff from other cars), seeing this pop up while heading into a braking zone/corner is awful LOL.

You carved 8 pumpkins?

How do you rev match the Fk8R? What's different about it?

CivicBlues 11-01-2025 10:03 AM

Good try, but I bet to a bystander it looks like a dick jizzing all over the room.

Was in the Park & Tilford Park area again and had to go to the SaveOn Kitchen. Already tried the pizza, beef burger, chicken burger so I thought I would try the $11.99 beef sandwich. It was amazing, I'd say better than the beef burger! Sliced roast beef from carvery, aioli, cheese, and crisp fried onions. Next time you're at one of these SaveOns, must try!!

You guys keep posting about this place, and I keep wondering.. is this the grocery store? Or just a restaurant with the same (awful) name?

whitev70r 11-06-2025 03:54 PM

It's THE grocery store! But it's a totally revamped version of the typical SaveOn with a hot food bar & area to sit and eat.

Metro Vancouver grocery store wins gold at Canadian Independent Grocer of the Year Awards

Metro Vancouver has a number of mentions at this year’s awards, with gold in the large category being given to the Park and Tilford team’s Save-On-Foods in North Vancouver, located at 333 Brooksbank Ave.

What's ironic is that the burgers/sandwiches are good deals but buying actual groceries there often isn't lol. In fact, I almost never buy my groceries from them because Superstore/Costco almost always have better pricing on basically everything.

yray 11-06-2025 05:55 PM

dont know how they can make it a profit at brooksbank, it has double the staff count of a regular save on

and the food the throw out at end of day is crazy

That's probably how they get you in. Like Costco with their hotdogs.

Safeway, Save On are the most expensive grocery stores. The only thing I think they do better than Superstore or Costco is their Deli section, maybe desserts but that's about it.

And if you still want to pay more for groceries, there is always Whole Foods or Urban Fare.

spoon.ek9 11-06-2025 06:23 PM

Jokes on them then, cuz I ain't buying shit other than those burgers :lol

That's the weird thing about the economy now, talked about that with friends recently too.

About a decade ago it was usually cheaper to cook a meal at home than buying that same meal at a restaurant/takeout.

Nowadays it's becoming totally different, can't tell you how many times I'm making a meal at home that ends up costing more or as much as something I could buy from a restaurant.

It's starting to feel like cooking at home is really more for health conscious reasons than that of actual savings.

Really? In Asia sure but here in North America it's still cheaper to cook in my opinion. Unless you're doing something niche like baking or deep frying that makes a mess.

westopher 11-06-2025 08:11 PM

Depends on what you’re making, but if you are using fresh produce, and meat it absolutely is comparable to just going to a restaurant. Chicken and beef from grocery stores is absolutely offensive these days.
You may be paying 4x what you used to be paying, but at least the quality is substantially worse as well.

spoon.ek9 11-06-2025 08:16 PM

Mikey be eating big ass steaks every day :lol

But no, it really does depend what you're making at home. It can be cheap if you want it to be!

SkinnyPupp 11-06-2025 08:22 PM

Prices have gone crazy here as well, but it's nowhere near the point where eating out is the same price as eating at home, if you're eating decent food with protein and vegetables. Yes you can go out and eat a bowl of noodles in greazy soup for less, but you won't want to live off that (well your heart won't)
