so i did some digging - Canadian Aviation College is what John Ling was part of. Correct me if I'm wrong.

There were students who were misled. Last Revision date: June 10, 2025
CAC refused to provide 106 hours of solo training time. Guess flight time weren't verified?

Then again, there was a guy who cancelled 226 times on their training Never showed up to school. THey took training elsewhere.

Some grumpy student.

I have been seeing a lot of these lately here in the GTA. About a 5 minute drive from my place is a commercial area with supermarkets, medical services, liquor store, restaurants etc. A lot of seniors show up on these and just dump / park their scooters anywhere like they own the parking lots and plazas. Literally no fucks given. :suspicious:

If the doors can be locked.... I don't see what I'd worry about lol. Maybe someone can 3D print me some TE37 for it.

A lot of shady flight schools want you to pay upfront instead of pay as you go. $80K+ Which you should never do it's like prepaying a lease and next day it gets totalled.
Then they lose their main money making contract with the mainland chinese airlines and go under or the owner misappropriates the funds and the students are left holding the bag with their life savings gone.

Respectful beat down though, they never purposely hit the head!

spoon.ek9 10-17-2025 11:41 AM

I think the most interesting event was that third person trying to plant a tracking device underneath their car while distracted. What on earth is this guy up to that he's being targeted like this?

bcrdukes 10-17-2025 11:42 AM

What if...these are CCP agents who are giving the guy a warning?

and one own an eight sleep mattress topper or bed? The AWS outage caused the the beds to stop working properly. Causing some to turn up the heat to 90 degrees F. I try to stay away from products that need a subscription to work or than need to be connected to the cloud to work.

I had no idea a "smart" bed existed lol. I certainly wouldn't buy one. Some products need to stay "dumb".

You'll be happy to know that Kohler is releasing a smart toilet that can analyze your poop and provide health info.

bcrdukes 10-21-2025 11:34 AM

Why do you know this lol

I guess this is actual shit someone (or something) cares about :lol

Home goods company Kohler recently unveiled a new device called the Dekoda — a $599 camera that can be attached to your toilet bowl and take pictures of what’s inside.

CNET reports that the Dekoda analyzes these images in order to provide updates on your gut health and hydration, and to potentially detect blood. It also comes with a rechargeable battery, a USB connection, and a fingerprint sensor to identify who’s using the toilet.

The Dekoda is currently available for preorder, with shipments scheduled to begin on October 21. In addition to the hardware purchase fee, customers will need to pay between $70 and $156 per year for a subscription.

If you’re uneasy about the privacy implications of putting a camera right below your private parts, the company says, “Dekoda’s sensors see down into your toilet and nowhere else.” It also notes that the resulting data is secured via end-to-end encryption.

Seriously speaking, it's good practice to look at your pile every now and then to look for abnormalities. Checking for blood (appears either as red or black), in particular, is kind of important as we turn into old farts.

unit 10-21-2025 12:26 PM

when you say look at, do you mean just admire before you say goodbye or you mean like practically pick it apart?
