Oilers thinking of signing Carter hart lol.. The all reputation team going through everyone |
More power to them, he’s a shit goalie even when he was mentally stable lol… my schaudenfreude would love to watch that unfold |
Stan Bowmen, 'Ah, it's no big deal, just sexual assault.' |
Not that I want him to go to the Oilers, but maybe this poor goalie market will drive up our asking price for Silovs. |
AHL success =/= NHL success unfortunately Look at all the point a game or better dudes in the AHL that just barely have a cup of coffee in the NHL over the years. Silovs regular season stats last year in the NHL were horrendous... 2-6-1 3.65 GAA and .861 SV%. We're not getting anything for him, don't get your hopes up. |
speculation was a 6th or 7th round pick. that would still be better than getting absolutely nothing by losing him on waivers. |
just saw that todd bertuzzi is going to play senior aaa, i didnt even know that was a thing. im sure even despite the steve moore thing the guy still has plenty of money and is playing for the fun of it. how much do you think some of the big names make in that league? |
Not sure if you guys noticed, but Cootes signed his ELC. So he won't be taking the NCAA route. Apparently he impressed management at UBC camp. |

If only Petey showed the same compete level at Cootes. That is saying something about our no. 1 centre and the rookie Cootes. https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/can...level-contract Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Braeden Cootes on a three-year, entry-level contract. “Braeden showed really well at our development camp, and we are happy to get him under contract,” said Allvin. “His compete level and desire to be one of the best players on the ice at UBC was apparent from the very first day. We liked his hard work and attention to detail, and we look forward to helping him improve as a hockey player.” Cootes, 18, completed his third season with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2024.25, recording 63 points (26-37-63), 18 penalty minutes, and a +5 plus/minus rating in 60 games, as well as eight points (2-6-8) and four penalty minutes in six playoff games. He was named Seattle’s co-captain on November 22, 2024, and took over the captaincy on January 4, 2025, leading all Thunderbirds players in assists and points, while tying for second on the team in goals throughout the regular season. |

CHL or he makes the NHL team - can't go AHL or NCAA |
Thank goodness I always get nervous when these kids go to college that they’re gonna pull the bye bye stunt |
if he makes the team, we gotta make room for him. he's a RH centre so if he's able to win faceoffs at NHL level then he'll be at least useful for that role. I'm thinking he projects to be higher ceiling than Raty so let's all hope he's our future 1/2C and the future is NOW lol. |
Goodbye Arty Party, guess this was inevitable with Demko's extension and they woulda lost him for nothing on waivers |
Nice! To the east AND we got a player in addition to the pick. |
https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...-to-penguins/? Vancouver traded the goaltender to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday in exchange for forward Chase Stillman and a fourth-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
That’s a pretty good return considering the radio has been saying all they would get is a 6th round pick for the last 2 months |
Brother of legendary Canuck Riley Stillman |
Hope Arty gets some NHL time in Pitts. He deserves a shot at a fulltime position I'd say. |
Backup is my ceiling for him but he’s automatically Pittsburgh’s backup currently. They only have Jarry under contract prior to this trade. Good situation for him with Jarry being notoriously streaky. |
Schedule is out for the 2025-2026 season: https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/nhl-teams-ann...-out-1.2335900 Canucks have their home opener on October 9th against the Flames. The NHL schedule is out! Here are some significant games 👀 👉Marner returns to Toronto: January 23rd, 2026 👉Marchand returns to Boston: October 21, 2025 👉Toews returns to Chicago: January 19, 2026 👉Panthers vs. Oilers meet again: November 22, 2025 👉Sid vs. Ovi, possibly for the last time: April 11 and April 12, 2026 (back-to-back) 👉Miller returns to Vancouver: October 28, 2025 👉Connor McDavid plays Canucks for the first time since match penalty/suspension: October 11, 2025 |
Marner gonna get booed so hard but it's not entirely his fault. The fans are mad he left but also wanted him to leave long time ago so.... yeah lol. |
By some fucking miracle they still got a player for him even though he was a UFA |
Because Leafs were going to accuse Vegas of tampering. It was either sign and trade or see consequences. |
Oilers were in on Silovs “Oilers were involved, I think another team was in the mix, but just couldn’t quite get it done,” Seravalli said. “The Oilers don’t really have a ton to offer and weren’t entirely sure that Šilovs is better than what they have right now in [Stuart] Skinner as well as Cal Pickard.” Hope they give Skinner an 8 year extension |
