After buying the tracker for $520, putting $150 worth of tunup into it, I sold er' for $2000 Not too bad of a profit over the course of 3 weeks.

I also brought home a new toy... Little bit faster than the last few toys I've had. Mustang GT yo'

saloman 02-01-2007 12:39 AM

what year?

down_hill_dog 02-01-2007 05:24 PM

don't wreck it like all your other vehicles

girlcrazy_420 02-01-2007 05:38 PM

1988 GT... just heading out right now to pick er' up. Needs a bit of work ie: tranny, possible clutch job and I think i'll drop a new rocker on er'... but quick car otherwise. Should have her on the road by late weekend

proshoraca 02-01-2007 10:58 PM

i have a tranny if u want sitting in my garage.^^^ lemme know

washed my car yesterday.

girlcrazy_420 02-02-2007 10:34 AM

Got the car in the shop getting new engine mounts put in as the ones that are on there are broken.

Here she is as of this morning, I'll get her washed/polished and take some new pics over the weekend

Let me know right away what you want for it, i've gotta get my trans done this weekend. No wheels otherwise. text me or somethin. 215-5074

No mom, I'm not watching bukake movies again 02-02-2007 07:37 PM

So, it was a beautiful day today so I thought I would do some work to my GTR.... grabbed the repairman plates and went for a little spin. Then I thought why not do a compression test? So took the cover off and started popping off ignition coils... after the 3rd one I'm like these are blue... wtf? So I read the writing "SPLITFIRE" Oh hells yeah!!!! Whaddya know eh? Then gong on to the Compression test... I was a little worried because I blew up a set of N1 steel wheel ball bearing turbos at the end of summer and the turbines where toast!!! So thinking all that metal would've eaten my rings but the comp test results where.....
Cyl 1 150
Cyl 2 145
Cyl 3 145
Cyl 4 145
Cyl 5 140
Cyl 6 140

Not too shabby for an engine with 130,xxx km's

girlcrazy_420 02-03-2007 12:38 AM

Spent the evening pulling the trans. Got er out and pulled it apart and it crumbled in our hands. The input/output shafts had LOTS of play... definitely shot. New trans, centerforce DF and heavily resurfaced flywheel are going back in first thing in the morn.

girlcrazy_420 02-04-2007 03:25 AM

update: Clutch is now in, resurfaced flywheel, engine mounts are also new and replced the u-joints with greasables while we were at it. Also Swapped the Pony rims on, new a/f, fuel filter and header gaskets. (engine was out) Only downfall is we broke the y-pipe bolts so we had to re-thread them on the headers untill I get new bolts in. Open Headers yo! haha

down_hill_dog 02-04-2007 10:40 AM

cool Adam! It sounds like it's going to be a cool car. Now just instead of rutlandising this one.... Keep it clean and in good shape! Spend $250 and get a full detail done on it so that it looks mint and then just up-keep it.

whitetalon 02-04-2007 11:00 AM

why spend 250 on a detail? who doesnt know how to clean a car? if you really want the paint to look good buy a portercable polisher dont throw money out since I garantee you dont make enough of it to be wasting it.

girlcrazy_420 02-04-2007 01:08 PM

She'll be a project. I'm taking it off the road about mid-week untill winters over. Even on dry pavement she dosnt stay in a strait line, let alone snow and ice. I've gotta admit that she's got a little too much power at the moment until I can harness it. Going from 80hp to this...

Todays project... Installing the short throw shift kit, and installing new dealer crome door handles.

proshoraca 02-04-2007 06:17 PM

u should try to not be like 99% of mustang owners that wrap their cars around trees and poles and such.

jeffh 02-04-2007 07:39 PM

marshall i think you already take the 1% spot. so hes pretty much hooped

zumvette 02-04-2007 08:01 PM

so just fired up the new v8 in my 4x4 s15. yyup fairly loud with just headers. super 40's going on when all the wiring is all loomed up and finished, will have pics once it looks all pretty.

girlcrazy_420 02-04-2007 08:43 PM

Great advice, sure hope it stays that way

edit: proshoraca Where did you get and what kind of head light polish did you use? Mine are horibbly yellow and I cant see shit at night. Almost easier to keep the damn things turned off. How long does it take to apply it?

Finally did some painting of the calipers, from red to silver, they look so much better, and touched up the faded wiper arms.
