^ that colin is a tom sized turbo, because tom is actually a little bit nuts. my mods of last night were a weighted skunk2 shift nob, and yellow highbeams. never thought a shift knob would be so cool, but im a ricer, and the yellow 80watts put more light on the road than my old rainbow colored 100 watts. also picked up my goodies from van for my little project |
which gt30r were u running before tommy? i am probably gonna go with a 0.82 30r on my jdm sti motor. when were u hitting full boost? i got the 6 speed with the 8200 redline so its not as much of a concern with those extra rpms. still a 2.0 though... just picked up an invidia n1 raceback today to go with my invidia v2 downpipe... should be nice!! sound clip! |
jeffh: Good chocie on the shift knob. I run the same one and it's nice and HEAVY. Very nice piece. mannslayer: I was running the smaller GT30R with the .63 A/R turbine. I was hitting full boost at an average of 4800-5000 in 3rd gear at 20psi. When I was boosting 30psi it took about 5200rpm. This is on my 2.0L GSR bottom end as well. Holding 30psi and making power right up to redline, past 9000rpm ;) |
took the intake mani off the blower and cleaned it up, rotors on the blower are minty and the kit looks like its only been used for a day. gonna drop the manifold off at the machinists on wednesday and get it sorted wish i had a camera to show off with |

Go big or go home, GT35R or GT42R :p |
G2Teggin did you get a final HP with your last setup? and at what psi? |
thats quite a meat grinder tom, but will it be enough to keep up???? :2finger2: |
Last I checked I was still ahead of you on street tires and fwd :D:lol :eek3: ohhhh snaaaaaaap |
Amsoil 75w90 Gear oil in tranny and rear diff of GTR... made big difference. |
Modded new trans pan/trans filter/atf into a buddy's gf's cavalier in the Marusa parking lot ;) How do you check the tranny level on a 02 Z24 2.4l cavvy? |
perhaps you should learn how to check the fluid level before servicing it? poured in some washer fluid today, having none sucked big-time yesterday. |
