yah and i drive a Ferrari.

Dude, take a chill pill

Thread title:
"Best sushi in town" (presumably best quality)

Equivalent to your analogy:
"Best car available" (given this site, probably "fastest"/best performer)

So... Civicblues is right on the ball here. We're talking about the "best in town". Hell. AYCE is NOT quality. AYCE is about stuffing your face. So, I too will say AYCE = crap quality.

I had my AYCE phase several years ago, and for those where quantity is more important than quality, fine. However discussion of AYCE as "best" is laughable... it's easier to laugh and ignore than to flame. Though flaming might be enjoyable.

The name escapes me, but the one near London Drugs on 41st and W. Blvd in the pedestrian walkthrough is pretty good. They have Asahi Black too

Why did you capitalize 'All' ? Haha cocksucker.

What the hell is up with you and your profanity/anger issues? You really need to get a life and stop venting your real life frustrations on the Internet.
I had a fine time reading about everyone's sushi experiences, regardless of where they're from, and suddenly I stumble on your childish post.
For anyone else's sake, I hope you don't vent your frustrations on women or kids around you, because it certainly appears that way.

lol chill out n00b. Just because some of us can afford to eat good sushi doesn't mean we can't make others feel bad for eating crap. ;)

Anyone with suggestions for Sushi place now a days?

I need a place, and it has to have decent decor, service.

It's a business dinner, and they want sushi. I thought about Tojo's but that's not the best sushi for price. :)

Any other suggetions?

seto is great. go there every once in awhile. its a bit pricey but quality is usually pretty good. they also seem to carry rarer items on their menu that some other restaurants don't (basashi, katsuo, botan-ebi etc.). whenever im there for lunch, the hokke bento never ceases to disappoint.

recently, i've been heading to ichiro in steveston for lunch. never knew of their lunch menu till recently so it was a surprise to find that prices were pretty much on par with their sister restaurant takeya during lunch hour. they also make possibly the best saba shioyaki in vancouver.

Gt-R R34 05-31-2010 10:38 PM

6 ppl, 400 tip included. but we ate till we were stuffed and had 2 bottles of sake.

LiquidTurbo 05-31-2010 10:44 PM

Looks to be an alternative to Tojo's. Thanks for the recommendation, never heard of the place!

DREAM SUSHI.

4401 Main Street at 28th Ave
Vancouver, BC V5V 0A2

Pretty cheap as well! It's just one of those nice, small sushi places.

Got 100% in reviews ---> http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/14/15076...ushi-Vancouver

I love that place. I eat there frequently.

Here's the menu for the prices ---> http://www.yummyweb.com/show_store.php?sid=449

You can have a decent meal for under 10 bucks. About $15 tops if you really want to indulge.

$6.50 from 11:30am to 3:00pm for a special lunch deal which includes two dishes (rolls, rice bowls, etc.) and miso soup.

$12.95 for a dinner special which includes three dishes, salad, and miso soup.

[9.5/10] overall from me

miss_crayon 06-04-2010 12:10 AM

So fyi: the place I forgot the name of is zipang sushi which bcrdukes made a post about in the main forum.

I haven't been here in ages and don't know if its still there but when I worked in richmond (back in like 06) I'd always go to this place called sushi han. I think it was on blundell..and gilbert? Blundell and something. I do believe it was owned by japanese people and everything was always tasty!

Sushi Hachi +1, that is about right, the last few times I went it is usually $50+ per person, but we ordered a lot of blue fin tuna lol.

Don't every try Miku, I am not trying to sound racist, but Miku is kind of white/japanese fusion mixed in a bad way. The quality is very very average, and the dishes can be found in any other japanese restauarant.

SpoonFit 06-06-2010 05:38 PM

Theres a low key resturant in New Westminster called ASUKA SUSHI.
Place is very small and looks pretty shitty, but DAMN their sushi is one of the best i ever tried, SPICY TUNA ROLL OMFG, unreal.

You won't be disappointed. I've been going to Miku since it opened and can't get enough of their food. Their sushi is quite different from your normal sushi too which makes it great. Whatever you do you must get the Aburi Salmon sushi. Just talking about it i think I'm gonna go in a couple days again haha

I LOVE SUSHI in Coquitlam is the best sushi joint, imo.
it's on Schoolhouse street, in that complex right beside Silvercity and between Zone bowling and Pearl Fever.
They have a bunch of different rolls. My personal favorite is the Energy roll with salmon, tuna sashimi avocado and philly cheese.. then it's deep fried in tempura batter and served with their special hot sauce!

Lots of people love the crunch roll there, which is a california roll deep fried in tempura batter. and they have a hot night roll with spicy tuna topped with sashimi and hot sauce. or the rj dancing roll with scallops on top. everytime you go there, you can try something different... and generally if you make nice with them, they'll customize your roll for you. I'm friends with the owner's daughter/servers so maybe it makes me biased, but they treat all their customers like their friends.

I don't eat sushi anywhere else anymore, haha. Not very expensive.. miso soup and edamame are usually included and about 6-7 bucks for a roll and they're pretty huge. I can barely finish one roll. I'd rate them a 10/10 =)
