Old people. Old people everywhere. It's a really dated hotel and you'll never spend any time there except to sleep.

sonick 07-02-2014 10:36 AM

From my room I could see the Monte Carlo pool; it looked pretty short (and quite busy).

When are you going? $300 for Mandalay Bay seems steep.

Jeebus, that's not fun. I just checked if there might be suites or Hotel 32 available... no dice. Crap!

Aiyah :( I'm going next Tuesday. Re: MB- RIGHT?! last time I checked, MB on average was 150/night for the average room.

Anyone planning to stay at the new SLS hotel?

Hondaracer 07-06-2014 05:03 PM

So me and my GF will be going to Vegas next April Easter weekend for our birthdays. Might have a bunch of people coming might be just us, I've never been to Vegas so looking for some tips as to:

Best way to book flight/hotel? Are packages always cheapest? We ideally want to fly from YVR

What's the best way to get a nice room? Flights and hotel alone we are willing to spend 600-1000 each for 4 nights and airfare

Sign up for hotels email newsletters, they often send out promo codes.

Also select travel agencies will have special rates and amenities for specific hotels. My latest stay at Aria was about the same price as booking online but I got like $260 I various credits and automatic upgrade based on availability.

MGM Resorts International - Royal Caribbean

Did this last year. Was amazing.

No need to worry about them checking your membership or anything.

Just to clarify, the deal is pretty much getting an $x amount of hotel credits?

Is there a limit to how many nights you must stay to get those credits? Last time I stayed at Mirage and they gave me a $100 credit if I stayed at least 2 nights.

2 nights minimum.

A lot of people book 4 nights and stay at two hotels and double up on credits. It's pretty crazy and it works.

I stayed 3 nights last time. But even at 2 nights, this is crazy because it is hotel credits and can be applied to anything that you want to charge to your room.

This means ANY MGM resort buffets, spas, and whatever.

Special K 07-20-2014 02:22 PM

But flight + hotel package would cost less than if booked separately. Am I wrong?

dhawes 07-20-2014 03:05 PM

Going to Drai & XS, looking online they suggest collared shirt & jacket. Anyone got tips for dress code, business casual everywhere?? (ie: not vancouver)

Or can fitted jeans/shirt still pass.

HonestTea 07-20-2014 03:28 PM

Am I doing this right? This for MGM Grand

1 West Wing King Room 2 nights $96.00
Taxes: $11.52
Room Subtotal: $107.52
Resort Fee & Tax: $56.00

Total: $163.52

And I get $150 in credits for food/dining/spa etc? So essentially I'm paying $13.52 for two nights?

TOS'd 07-20-2014 04:01 PM

$1900 - 4 adults, 4 nights @ Venetian via Allegiant in Aug.

Air & hotel?

TOS'd 07-20-2014 04:22 PM

Venetian via Allegiant Air. Not sure if this is a great deal or not(probably not) but only thing available that fit my work schedule.

As long as you wear dress shoes and a collared shirt. I remember during Christmas some girl got in wearing uggs :heckno:.

Provided that those are eligible dates - yes.

Note the credits have to be something you charge to the room and won't actually pay for the room.

tiger_handheld 07-20-2014 06:42 PM

Monte Carlo

+1
- lazy river
- access to Aria, Bellagio, Mandarin Oriental, Vdara

-1
- no wifi
- $20 trick will not work

will not go back unless the mandalay bay is not available

Ch28 07-20-2014 08:01 PM

$20 trick is YMMV and heavily dependent on who you talk to

Fly allegiant, and book separately. There's free show tickets offer at Cheap Las Vegas Specials, Las Vegas Hotel Deals, Free Vegas Coupons right now, I'd check that out for April, probably the best deal.

Use Login: guest pw: guest instead of signing up

Book 2 nights and 2 nights under different names and combine them when you check in. This way you can get 4 show tickets free.

pure.life 08-17-2014 06:04 PM

For the Royal Caribbean offer, is there a cancellation policy? I'd like to book in advance but not 100% sure if I can go
