wow, i just checked the weather and it is kinda cold. high of 9 low down to 0 at night.

i totally expected it to be maybe mid-teens or so. im going boxing day, so i guess i can expect vancouver temps. hopefully no rain though haha.

AppleSugary 12-15-2007 01:02 AM

went to check the south rim of grand canyon(so it was driving the road of nevada to arizona) and it was freezing.

even the dry land desert of arizona was experiencing chilly wind.

grand canyon was covered with snow.

cold....

Just got back from a 3 night stay in Vegas. It was cold but at least it wasn't raining.

I'm sure one of the bars out there will have it on TV. Just find a sports bar or go to the ESPN Zone in NYNY. Not sure if they'll show it on the huge screen - you might be able to catch it on the smaller side screens...

AppleSugary 12-24-2007 01:03 AM

New York New York and MGM grand have sports bar/book section if you are in southern strip

Caesars Palace, A bar in between of Casino Royale and Imperial Palace, and Mirage have both Sports section if you are in the middle of the strip

WYNN has a really good comfortable doesnt smell smoke to watch hockey if you are in north strip.

If outside the strip, RIO has a good sports section too.

ANYWAYS, Hilton was the best sports book place I have been in Vegas. It was sooooo big and they have more than 20 large big screen monitors when I was watching the games especial NFL.

from what I have heard, hilton is the biggest sports book in the world.

Ch28 12-24-2007 01:21 AM

^ Yup...LV Hilton has the biggest sports book in Vegas. Not sure about the world but it's pretty huge

anybody seen KA (cirque show) at the MGM ? I saw O earlier this year and it was decent i thought. i couldn't stop watching the previews for KA all over MGM and looks pretty freakin sweet just wondering if anyone has seen it? im going this week so i might try to catch a show sometime.

Ch28 12-24-2007 10:45 AM

^ My co-worker told me La Reve @ Wynn was a pretty good show. It's the one with an all water act.

I will give it a rate of 7/10.
I almost fell asleep in the beginning (maybe because I was so tired that day) but it was kind of interesting in the end.
The characters dont talk or say words.
Costumes are terrific.
Story is so typical.
It can be funny a little bit.
SETTING, STAGE, LIGHTS, MUSIC ARE ALL GREAT>

It's a great show, just don't go expecting you're typical Cirque du Solei performance. Unlike the other shows, it is very story oriented, with less spectacular acrobatics.

bkw 01-01-2008 01:41 PM

so i ended up seeing KA on Saturday the 29th and it was pretty good, it had its sleeper moments but overall it was pretty enjoyable. whatever you do though, do not see david copperfield unless you are a big big fan. imo biggest waste of money.

even though we got discounted tickets (72 from 97) totally not worth it. we went on a whim and i left disappointed. the show was only 1hr n maybe 10 mins, he did maybe 4-5 sets, then showed some video about himself doing another trick which was like 5 mins long. then his intro was all these clips of tv shows and movies that mention his name or mention something about him (super huge ego i assume). overall, not worth it, i saw magic shows for like 30 bucks that were more entertaining.

wow talk about a difference a few years make ... i was in vegas i think 3 year ago for new years ... quite possibly the worst non-event i've never went to ... ppl lined up outside on the strip ... and when it struck 12 ... NOTHING happened ... literally nothing ... and then everyone eventually started to walk back to their hotels ...

hi5-ive 01-17-2008 11:57 PM

Oh btw, i watched the canucks game at ESPN ZONE NY NY

Oh and one more, if you are die hard hockey fan trying to watch ESPN sports center for highlights, Hockey comes near the end lol and for like 5-7 minutes LOL, even college basketball, football comes on first, this shows you american knows nothing about hockey and i thought league wanted to move a team to Las vegas, you kidding ....

Ch28 01-18-2008 12:33 AM

^ fucking DOG SHOWS get better ratings than hockey in the US haha

I've flown with them twice. The first time there were no complaints at all. The second time was this past October, and my flight was delayed by more than two hours! By the time we left Bellingham we were already supposed to be landing in Vegas. But hey, every airline has delays, no biggie. The flight attendants were friendly, no real complaints. I would definately fly with them again.

hi5-ive 01-19-2008 10:20 PM

Also longterm parking at bellingham airport is like $5/day. Which wasnt too bad, and ive used allegiant air twice as well and no delays yet! if you are really trying to save money; look into allegiant air, less waiting at airport since the airport is so damn small.

chinook79 01-21-2008 10:15 PM

holy cow...
right now allegiantair has 29$ one way ticket to reno

hi5-ive 01-21-2008 10:25 PM
