However, if you don't forsee yourself calling each other, I would just suggest you both SMS each other since it's like $0.10 or I think $0.20/message?
This apply for Roger's

$1.80 for 1 minute phone call
40 cents/message.

These prices were based from my end of August vegas trip.

Allegiant Air has the $88/one way deal to Vegas going on right now!

Haven't ordered them yet but I was looking at this seller:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=250173729975

He has good feedback and you can choose between T-Mobile or Cingular

What I don't understand is this:

Rate Plan
$.10/minute

Daily Access Fee*
$1.00 per day, ONLY on days you use your phone

Mobile to Mobile Minutes
Unlimited

Does that mean that as long as we both have Cingular sims and pay the $1/day fee then we're good for unlimited minutes between the both of us provided we call each other on the Cingular number?

What's the cheapest refill option? $5/$10?

I hope for your sake it doesn't snow or ice up. Bellingham airport doesn't have the equipment to de-ice the airport. If it snows heavy or the runway is all iced up then your flight will be postponed/canceled until the weather is better. It's the main reason why I decided to fly out of Seatac instead of Bellingham

This is honestly the best way to do it. Make sure your radios/walkie talkies are GMRS capable, and set it to a GMRS channel (if your radio has 22 channels, 15-22 should be GMRS). Using GMRS in the US requires a license, however it is almost never enforced. You should be able to get decent range, depending on building obstacles, like from one side of the Fashion Show Mall to the other. It's enough to allow your group to split up inside a hotel/mall, but don't expect to be at opposite ends of the strip trying to contact each other.

BTW if you're going to Star Trek The Experience at the Hilton Hotel, be sure to visit Tickets2Nite or Tickets4Tonight. They offer same/next day passes for it that are half price (~$20 instead of $40). They also sell many other same day concert and show tickets at discount.

If you go to Star Trek, be sure to get these drinks (left is the full size Warp Core Breach, right is the mini Borg Sphere). Full size has 10oz of alcohol, mini has 5oz.

Also go to In N Out.

I always want to know how you guys able to go to In&Out burger other than taxi. Since it is far away from the strip.

I went & came back last week. Stayed at MGM Grand West Wing.
Room is small but clean & newer.

Snak King 10-16-2007 10:10 AM

Haha! Holy big jugs! How much is that Warp Core Breach?

I took a taxi. AFAIK, there's no sidewalk that lets you safely cross that highway to get to In N Out, especially at night. I don't want to be run over on vacation so spending $10 to take a taxi ride isn't that bad (especially if you split it over 4 people or something).

I think its $30 for the 10oz, $15 for the 5oz. You get a lot more out of it than those big slushy drinks you find all over the place, but you don't get a take home souvenir cup.

Going back on

Dec 12-17
MGM GRAND SIGNATURE
for only US$312.00 for each person.

JACUZZI here I come

Ch28 11-05-2007 12:52 AM

^ The signature suites are sweeeeeet. We were looking at those before we decided on Flamingo. Flamingo had the better location and while the suites are nice...we wouldn't be spending too much time there.

What is a good store that we can go to for stocking up on bottled water and other things? We'll be staying at the Flamingo so a store close by would be ideal

just wondering.. where'd you find that deal?

forgamez 11-05-2007 08:11 AM

a better question is how many people are in the suite for that price

there's a walgreens down towards Gameworks. I didn't go to it this year but I think it's on the block just before it.. You could also probably check out the Hawaiian Marketplace

I would second the idea to go to Walgreens. Note that the Flamingo has a little grocery/drug/liquor store at the back (East of the strip, underneath the Flamingo Monorail stop). This store is very overpriced for everything.

Also note that all McDonald's locations should have 500mL Dasani bottled water for $1.

TRUE!!! But I need the turbo jets(that's what the desk person told me on the phone) to pamper my body after walking the strip again. ANyways, the train is inside the MGM. So I am happy with the choices. ;)

The walgreen is just same or one block away from MGM. One of the reasons too why I needed the suite so we can just do grocery shopping and do some cooking. Also, we can buy alcohol ryt beside the new york to get drunk.

Save money for shopping and other shows. :-p

2 people.

AppleSugary 11-05-2007 12:36 PM

booked the ticket and hotel separately

Ch28 11-05-2007 06:07 PM

Also make sure you check out VRBO.com

http://www.vrbo.com/113361

Lots of people that own the Signature suite condos will rent them out to people. It's a great deal if you split it between 2-4 people because the room is pretty big

AppleSugary 11-05-2007 06:35 PM

thats crazy. thanks for the link. i will use it next time but still lucky to find a really good deal.

$312 5 nights in mgm signature with air already.

goo3 11-05-2007 07:14 PM

Isn't normal price something like $150 per night? That's dirt cheap.. where did you find the deal, btw?

Ducky 11-14-2007 12:10 AM

Just got back from Vegas and had a good time. I highly recomend Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino.

Tao was great, espcially walking into the club with no line up infront of Rick Fox for Tao's 2year anniversary; the normal line up was lets just say sick.... I really has to control myself from turning around and yelling "Duckyyyy" when a couple hot slutty dressed girls in the normal line up ask "whos that"?? and pointed at me, or the could have been pointing at Eve.
