Personal opinion, but you really need to be in a certain demographic to pull it off.

I know a skinny asian guy who wears one and it honestly looks like he bought it from a shack in Vietnam, he just can't pull it off. There are other watches you can wear with your Balenciaga flip flops to show off $$$, but a gold rolex is hard to pull off.

Gold Rolex you gotta be a bigger dude. Like ideally big and fat, sort of a tony soprano vibe.

I'm just asking because i see a ton of music artists stick to white gold, but also a lot of celebrities.

Emailed during the daytime and walked in the next day to buy it. No prior purchase history, nothing. Just a chump off the street who wanted a Rolex and walked out with one the day after.

I was a port conference today and everyone had on their blingy watches. Rolex’s, omegas, Tudor’s, etc. I think I saw one guy with a royal oak too.

I just kept working and readings emails off my Apple Watch. That stupid thing is so addictive. It cut down my phone screen time quite a bit as I can manage my inbox without grabbing the phone. Ugh makes my other pieces seem completely redundant and superficial.

Are you able to negotiate prices on watches?

I was looking at FB marketplace and there seems to be tons of sellers selling new watches that are $200 - 1,000 cheaper than AD's. They claim the bought it to build a relationship with the jewellers.

I was thinking they might be getting employee discount and selling it.

pretty sure even the AD's arent giving their employee discounts. I mean why would they, there is a huge waiting list of customers.

You can still try to negotiate on prices but it depends on what. It never hurts to try.

Start with 30. You might get laughed out the door. If so, come back another time and try 20, 15, and so forth. Go see a sales rep mid-week during the middle of the month. The most desperate one who needs a sale will make it work. Sweeten the deal with the dealer by offering to pay cash, but you have to time it correctly.

ugh, cant believe the speedmaster is 9700 now. i got mine at 5100 and thought it was expensive in 2019.

Yeah Omega prices seem kinda high to me now. I remember considering an FOIS back in like 2019 and I feel like the pricing was pretty reasonable then.

Anyways, picked up a blue OP36 from the AD yesterday. Still kinda deciding whether I prefer the OP or the Explorer more. I told the AD that I wanted an OP or an Explorer as my top 2 choices. Something about the Explorer calls to me even though it’s almost just an OP with a different dial for $1650 more.
