I’m pretty sure there’s a clock in my house that’s radioactive. Spy balloon says it’s from her dad when he was a kid. The damn thing glows brightly even in the day time. |
Let's see it! |
I couldn’t find it. She hid it somewhere. Lousy Guangdong hoarder |
https://i.postimg.cc/fL9RcyNZ/IMG-8908.jpg Found it... its glowing like a mofo Cant seem to find a date or serial number, but its a quartz clock so what? 70's 80's at best right? didn't they stop using nuclear shit by the 50's? |
Is that glowing, or just really bright green? :considered: |
No it’s glowing….. and in daytime. And it’s not battery powered cuz we can’t even find the type of battery this sucker uses anymore |
So if you turn off the lights it's luminescent? I guess it could be tritium paint; that wasn't banned until 1998 Half life is 12 years, so it would have some lume power still, but nowhere near what it was new That's cool! I'd find a battery for that for sure |
That’s awesome what kind of battery is it??? We must find one! |
I don’t know… it’s not a shape I’ve ever seen before. Weirdo Japanese clock |
https://youtu.be/6MbPMhKzNdI?si=5Iiihu3nT11cXb-B Spy balloon took it to some battery shop and were able to rig up a C battery. It’s running now |
Pro tip; AAs are the same length as Cs, so you can wedge them in with a little effort. They wont have the same capacity, but they work fine. This saved me from buying Cs for the one kids toy we had that needed it. All the rest ran on AAs or AAAs. |
Makes me sad when this thread is inactive for too long, what’s everyone’s go to summer watch right now? Some of the get downright uncomfortable in the heat with your wrist sweating or maybe you like the colours of something with summer? Or have a summer watch purchase in mind? |
For me it's about the strap, not the watch. NATO straps are the most comfortable in the summer (and it's FUCKING hot already this year). The watch doesn't even touch your skin, as the fabric strap goes all the way under the case. Bracelets are ok too. Rubber.. well it's better than leather, but it doesn't take long to accumulate a pool of sweat under it with no way out. Leather is just nasty though lol |
NATO tropical strap is the bomb - so comfy for summer. |
That’s why I like stainless steel. It doesn’t add any heat, it’s comfortable to wear and even if you do sports with it, it’s not that gross feeling. When I was in Hong Kong last year I wore my sub around with no problems. When I got that toy 50’fathoms the nato strap was a lot worse. |
https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/..._AC_SX679_.jpg https://www.amazon.com/FAN-CLOCK-Sub...3&gad_source=1 Prime day is coming, i was going to see if i can buy some of these clocks i like. Yes its very tacky and lame, but i kinda wanna throw one up in the garage How they dont get sued out of existence is beyond me |
No tic, no tac, so chic! I wonder what it really says under the blur? LOREX |
I came across a place on those fake watch forums that sells wall clocks of all the famous watches.. Was tempted to get a Panerai one, but $150ish is too much for a wall clock for me. |
Wear it around your neck on a chain |
I saw it last year in hong kongs lady’s market. I tried to haggle but that bastard still wanted like about 400 hkd. I’m like nahhhhhh!!! |
I found the site. It's considered "trusted" on the replica forums I really like this desk clock.. which is what my watch is mostly used for as I prop it up by the strap lol https://i.imgur.com/Q7teTA6.png https://i.imgur.com/9O4I1iG.png |
That's fantastic hahaha I love that it's orb shaped, you could 5 pin bowl with that thing |
Im going on a boat cruise tomorrow with my mom. i dont know which watch i should bring for a 7 day cruise. Leaning towards submariner? or Aqua terra? TIMEX!? |
Whatever the loudest one is to fill in those awkward silences and remind you that precious seconds are ticking off your life hahaha |
