Hi, curious what is your review on the T-Race? I have seen this watch a few times and it keeps catching my eye.

EDIT- just noticed it was an automatic

Almost bought a Longines this past weekend due to the number of people in here that seem to love theirs.

Decided against it as I am going to save a bit more for the Omega I wanted.

yes....:suspicious:

Although there was another one in the "master collection" which I was also liking.

Gonna wait to pick up a Speedmaster.

Does anyone know where I can get an Omega Speedmaster authenticated? How much should I expect it to cost?

TIA :)

Speaking of Omega, have you guys seen the Dark Side of the Moon? It's crafted from a single ceramic block.

Hodinkee also did a feature on this watch last year

Checked with a local Omega dealer and there's a waitlist for the watch =[

never been a huge seiko fan but i saw this is ProSpex + GMT so i checked it out.

PICS looks 100000 times better than in person. I saw the model but it was metal and wasn't black on black. was not convinced after seeing it in person so i walked away.

Not sure if everyone is familiar with the iconic Pepsi GMT, but Rolex released a revamped version (with ceramic dial and white gold) at this year's Basel (back in April).

It's really nice. I like the look, it's quite unique. It's a tad on the larger side but I don't mind it. Quality wise it's like most Tissot's, very durable and reliable.

I've dealt with Otto Friedl in the basement of Hotel Vancouver in the past. They can definitely authenticate it for you, maybe at no charge. If they do charge, I can't imagine it being any more then $10-$15.

I was eyeing a vintage Pepsi before getting my GS. Good to see them finally bring it back. The ceramic bezel is something I have to get use to since I'm still very much hooked on the classic steel bezel. Waiting for the day for Rolex to bring back the root beer GMT sans jubilee bracelet.

You can also go to "It's About Time" in Langley. They quoted me 50$ to Authentic a Tag Heuer Monaco a few years back that I bought off eBay. When I got down there I just chatted with the staff for about 15-20 mins and they ended up not charging me.

Can anyone recommend a certified Rolex repair center?

SushiWushiRoll 10-01-2014 11:16 PM

Man some of you guys have some crazy nice watches :ahwow: planning to get an Ananta, Speedmaster, or a Zenith watch in the future but for now I'm content with my Seiko

I took my Rolex back to my AD (Lugaro) and got them to send it to Rolex Service Centre in Toronto.

:woot2: ! I am so stoked to have found this thread! I been into watches for a while now and it never occurred to me that RS might have a thread like this. Kick ass! So many cool watches :drool. I am currently waiting on my newest addition to arrive so when it does I'll make my contribution.

In the mean time, I have a question. How do you store your timepieces? Do you have a special box you put them in? hang them on something? or just leave them on a table top? I am just about to get my 3rd and it's been on my mind. I don't really have anywhere to line them up nicely so a box with some soft lining would be ideal.
