Is the 40gig Ps3 the only one available right now? I want to buy one in the next few weeks, but I would like to get rid of my PS2, so compatibility is my biggest concern right now. Any other good packages coming out soon other then the MGS?

There's 40GB, 60GB, and 80GB.
I think the 80GB was the only one that was backwards compatible, but I remember reading that they have now phased out the backwards compatibility with new PS3 models.

Wait 2 more months for the MGS4 bundle..it will be worth it. This is your best bet since you want compatibility with the 60GB phased out. Pre-order it. You're not missing out on anything in the mean-time, well maybe a month of GTA4:)

haha that's what I've been hearing too. I will wait like a month or 2 when those assholes leave the game so I can play with other clean GTfan racers. And no voice chat/friend invite FTL!

I live in a very secluced area, about 8 hours away from the closest futureshop/bestbuy or EB. I am lucky enough to have a Walmart though. Where can I preorder, online would be easy, if you can't preorder things from Walmart?

you can pre-order stuff online at FS/BB website, but using their search engine on to find the stuff to pre-order is near impossible. I hate their search engine.

Devil May Cry 4 is f'n gay. 95% of the time you don't get to play anything since it's all goddamn cutscenes and when you do, it's all button mashing and running around. I admit the boss fights are pretty awesome but goddammit...missing those stupid jump points and then having to clear a room again is fucking lame.

GT5 + Dual shock controller on sale for $59.99 combined in Bestbuy this week. Just picked up my copy from Langley Bestbuy and they have a few left.

Richmond/New west/burnaby Bestbuy are gone. But Futureshop should match the price.

Yeah, I went earlier...cambie had 2 dualshock3 controllers but no GT5P. Richmond and Burnaby are both out of DS3. I bought the last DS3 with GT5P at new west

i automatically made my decision to get GTA4, as soon as i heard about the multiplayer options

its not that which console has better online experience for me, its just that, i still have most of my buddies own a 360 more than a ps3...


plus microsoft has settled exclusive DLC episodes for it, although im pretty sure those downloadable content wont be free,..

but anyways, i picked up GT Prologue at Superstore, PC points FTW!!

i had like $100 worth of points sitting on my PC mastercard, so i figured, i might as well use some of it, so technically, i got the game for free, just depends on how you look at it. lol

Prologue is an overexpanded demo, thats pretty much it, however, its still a good experience apprecating how beautiful the game already is, and expected to improve as next year's release..

i cant really say that online will make this game ur reason to buy, considering, majority of your races are indeed destruction derbies..

but there is enough content to justify, however much your paying for the game.. if ur a huge car and gaming enthusiast, then the $40 price tag is right for you.. the advantage of getting a retail copy is you get an extra documentary on the game, compared to getting the downloaded version on PSN

gt5 is awesome. It is better than pro street 4 sure. Dual shock was available last week already. But it is $20 if you buy gt5 4 $40 which makes it a very good deal

it's possible it's not up on their website for pre-ordering, but you'll have to manually look for it.
I couldn't even use the search function to find GTA IV! I had to manually go through their site to find it.

Yeh I searched through manually and found there preorder section, it was games only though. I'm headed into the city in a couple weeks, I could probably do it then.

Hey guys, i just recently starte dplaying nhl 08 online, after every game or shootout when I choose to quit it automatically d/c me from the ea servers, is anyone having the same problem ? am i supposed to do something ? no clue whats going on here, I'm using the wifi and don't have a cable wire connected to my ps3, might that be the problem ?

I'm getting the same problem, don't think its a problem with your WiFi. I think its a problem with EA's server or something. It worked perfectly fine from when I bought the game back in September to when a patch was released. Ever since the patch, I've been disconnecting every time, after a match, after downloading online play rosters. I even disconnect after loading my rosters from my hard drive :\

NHL 2008 for the PS3 is the biggest piece of crap out there.... I enjoy the gameplay and it's fun to play against others but EA's online servers for the PS3 users are total and utter CRAP.

glad its not only me, I've read that a few members have had problems since they downloaded the roster update.

read that gta4 has fps issues on the xbox during times, and the cities arent as populated
