In-game XMB has been rumored for quite a while, but looks to be pretty solid now. Should be out some time this month.

PS2 emulation on 40GB, this is the first I've heard of it

according to the internal build v2.39, it appears to have backward compatibility added.

the public release will be 2.40, not sure if backward compatibility will be included in the public release. the update is being rumor to be release before MGS4.

Biggest PS3 game of the year is coming in 4 days!!!! (MGS4)

for MGS4 do u guys think it would be worth it for me to buy as i've never played MGS games before? wil it be a big enough hit to apeal to even new players? and will it be worth my money?

The more I learn about Metal Gear, and the more I see of the new game, the less I am interested in playing again (haven't played since the NES version). These jokes are really REALLY lame, and the constant homoerotic innuendo is just overdone and annoying.

I grew up on Atari, then NES, then Super NES. I skipped PS1 and PS2 for the most part, up until now. During that time, I was only into PC games. Now I play everything :)

Metal Gear for NES was butchered down soo much, i do admit i played the version on NES and didnt know about the MSX version until about when MGS2 came out.. played it on emulation and the MSX is definitely strictly stayed true more to the story..

i skipped the last gen, and the only games i really played was the MGS series on my ps2.. didnt get back into game until this generation just because i was amaze with how much potential games are now..

i waited 4 years for MGS4, with soo much raved going on with its story telling, id say its definitely worth it...

to be honest, gameplay wise, im not too impress... its exactly the same as the past IMO..

if you dont like Hideo's humour, then dont bother touching MGS4.. its definitely through out the whole franchise.. i know alot of ppl want to play MGS4 just for the major hype its getting as a Ps3 saviour, dont jump on the bandwagon if your having doubts now..

Hideo's humor is: Walking on paper box, and rolling on barrels!!!!

Definitly give it a try. MGS series give you a experience you have never felt in a game before.

Man I hope they port ninja gaiden 2 over to the ps3. I was playing that game at my friends house on his 360, it's nuts.
