I'm famously not a fanboy of either console (or a fanboy of both, depending on whether you're a fanboy or not). To be honest, 2 of those 4 games you mentioned that are as good on the PS3 are pretty much the only 2 that DO play as well on that console. Oblivion is the only other one that comes to mind.

That is why most people will simply assume that a game is going to play better on the 360. About 98% of the multiplatform titles that have been released in the last year play far better on the 360. Can you blame someone for thinking that most new games will as well?

Of course, development is starting to improve on the PS3, especially from Japanese studios where the PS3 is populat (only because the 360 is so unpopular).

I'm not saying that this game or that game is definitely better on the 360. But more often than not it's the safest bet if you're not sure.

Just watched the Gametrailers video and it is really hard to tell ANY difference between the two systems, they both simply look really good. looks like it will be a good pick up on either console.

I will download the PS3 demo once I get my PS3 back from MTC

We shall find out. Right now I am hating the 360 version. RB on the 360 controller is really bad for locking on.

P.S, angry non fanboy: I will take real time demo comparison over a video anytime. GT is famous for not adjusting the RGB option in PS3 in those comparison videos hence tuning the PS3's quality.

Picture comparisons are stupid and pointless. As a consumer I don't care which version wins becase I stand to gain no matter what.

Personally, I believe I will not pick this game up as it is REALLY BAD when compared to God of War. The actions are forced and the camera angles are REALLY BAD. I actually laughed when Nero performed a fugly looking jump about 1 minute into the demo, when it was necessary to jump from a broken stairs.

I stopped playing anything related to DMC after the 1st one... it's all the same repetitive gameplay anyway and other games offer similar or better graphics. None of the DMC games can even compare to God of War 2, heck even God of War 1.

Exactly, I totally agree. The only thing i said originally was " It's a rumor, let's wait for the final game before making judgments". Then a picture comparison was posted in response to my statement, implying that the rumor is in fact, TRUE.

That's what ticked me off.

For those wondering, DMC4 is slightly better on the 360 - the PS3 requires some blurring to maintain high framerates with 2XAA enabled. Other than that, textures are the same, etc. 360 will have sharper edged overall.

I just played DMC4 demo on my PS3 last night and i can tell you this 'evidence' is BS. I have a tube CRT tv playing this game and I paused it...and guess what..the texture details were all there. Mind you this was 480i, so it's pretty obvious some low 360 fanboy photoshopped this comparsion. :2finger:

sorry dude, even I have to say something about this.... you won't see any major differences if you're playing in 480i, regardless how big your screen/TV is.

You'll need at least 720p to really make a fair and accurate comparison.

Fuck, I never had this much trouble using one particular brand of product... not even in the Photography forum with the big Nikon vs. Canon thing. It seems like the computer and gaming section are filled with people that just simply lack any sense of logic or rationale to have any engaging conversions with.

Enjoy gaming, that's the bottom line. Between my PC and the PS3 I get all the gaming I'll ever need so the Xbox doesn't interest me that much - but that's just me. after seeing those videos I'm going to have to D/L DMC4 demo as I want to see how it is compared to GoW.

Just bought a PS3 yesterday. Got it from Best Buy with the 2 Tom Clancy games. I got everything hooked up, but i haven't been able to hook up the wireless internet. Didn't realize so many problems tryin to hook up to Linksys routers (mines WRT54G). Anyone else have this problem before? I've googled and tried the Linksys website and couldn't find a solution that worked.

im using the exact same routor and have no problem connecting, just detect, put in the network password and your good to go
