It looks cool and all but that is pretty much the same thing companies do with prewashed denim. Takes away from the process of enjoying your jeans and seeing them slowly change. Also, it is easy to tell that those are not authentic fades.

I admit I cheated with my very first pair of raw nudies... I'd pinch the creases and scratch them for a high contrast fade. Looked really gross and fake.

So do you need an invite or what? Haha I need a pair of jeans

Regarding the Plenty sale..
The gf hasn't worked in a while due to studying for finals, so she doesn't know whether this is a public or "exclusive to members" sale.
But she said just go to the sale, and if it turns out you do need the invite card, just ask the cashier if you can get the sale discount, and they'll enter your info into the system and you'll get the discount on the spot. You'll also get all the invite cards for future sales as well :fullofwin:

Buys raw denim just to distress it like all the other companys do.
I rarely wear mine (2-3 times a week for not so long periods of time), but still wont do that to speed up fades.

yeah i asked the sales associate and she said there are no price matches... and unfortunately i had went one step further... i heard they got free hemming so i let them do it and now they're hemmed.

anyone go to the plenty sale? Is it worth it to go? Any sizes left? Should I wait till boxing day or is this sale even better?

So I picked up a pair of Mighty Healthy raw denim jeans during the RS blackmarkers sale to try out raw denim. Is it normal my legs are being stained with the dye sometimes? D:

^ lol no, she's Vietnamese/Chinese.

Their sales are usually pretty decent. I mean nothing too outrageous, but if you're looking to get a pair of jeans or jacket or whatever, then you might as well take the discount.
25% off N&F is not bad at all.
They do restock, but if you need a size just ask someone and theyll check for you.

Need some quick advice from you guys....

Purchased a few pair of nudies from holts, from what I understand, you should not wash them for 6 mths etc etc. to allow the fades to set in. The thing is, I DO NOT want these fades, lines, whiskers, etc. I like how they look right now (even color throughout).

Reading off the book that came with the Jeans "If you wash the jeans too early, the indigo just bleeds out over the whole garment, producing an even, dark indigo color". That is what I want.

I know I should have bought "washed jeans" but trust me I spent nearly 3 hrs trying everything from Prada, D&G all the way down to budget stuff like Diesel. Nothing fit as well as the nudies so i figured i'll try a few pairs.

So basically, what are the drawbacks if I treated them like normal jeans (washed every 1-2x use).

well you won't get fades, simple as that.

for the guys that are looking for raw denim, barneys has a sale on a few pairs of nudies starting at $79 plus free shipping, better check it out quick.

They'll just start fading more and more but will probably do it pretty evenly.

You may get a little bit of whiskering and some honeycombs but nothing near the degree of what what raw denim made for.

Instead of buying a few pairs just buy one and wear them whenever you can without washing. You'll get good fades.

If you wash often it will just change color. Some people do this as well... raw denim is made for whatever you want to do so if you want an even color then go ahead.

If you want washed jeans that fit well try some diors.

its a great find man. too bad the only raws are the hank reys, or I'd take em.
