Alright, thanks guys.

Are there any type of shoes that go particularly well with raw jeans? Or will any kind of shoe do?

Kilinim 12-18-2011 03:21 PM

What is stacking? Are stacks the folds on the bottom?

stacking is just the natural way the jeans rest on your shoes/ankles , hence stacking

the "folds" are cuffs. completely different.

and for shoes with raw denim, you can never go wrong with clark's desert boots.

MindBomber 12-18-2011 03:30 PM

Simple and classic designs tend to look best with raw denim.

Traditional boots, loafers and dress shoes are a timeless pairing with quality denim; clarks desert boots are a popular choice. If that's not your look, then lots of more simple styles of sneakers look fabulous as well; common projects are the most revered, but there are lots of more budget friendly options with similar designs.

It would probably be a bit difficult to make something heavily stylized like air jordans work with raw denim, but fashion is so individual I'm sure even that could look good with a bit of effort.

anyone that goes there, do tell of the deals, i don't wanna make the 2 hour round trip (just transportation, excludes actual browsing) to be disappointed

alright, reporting time. went to dutil about an hour ago. Not worth it, even the guys that worked there said so. Nudies are only 20% off and those are ONLY for the prewashed ones. Regular ones are regular price. Naked and famous is regular price for the most part except for the, and i quote the sales guy, "shittier pairs". Same goes for everything else pretty much. Only the stuff that nobody wants is anywhere close to 50% off. Save your time and go on boxing day instead

Got my N&F Skinny Guys from Karmaloop today (first ever raw denim). Sized down 1 on multiple recommendations and holy fuck this shit is tight in the ass and thigh area. I had trouble buttoning up all the buttons. Is this common? I hope this shit stretches out soon because it's super uncomfortable.

It'll stretch after a few wears don't worry.

G 12-19-2011 05:09 PM

Yea, it will stretch. But in the meantime, your balls will be sacrificed.

fs604 12-19-2011 05:15 PM

took me about 7 days straight wear for it to be comfortable. will be worth it in the end.

naw man trust me you're better off sizing down then going tts... n&f stretches like theres no tommorow. Only part that stays tight will be the front pockets... Even after like 4 months of hardcore wear that shit is still tight as fuck..It literally feels and looks like I'm fingering myself when I try to reach and grab my phone cus its that tight..

ForbiddenX 12-19-2011 10:53 PM

yea I still can't put my hands inside my pocket. I always need to wear a jacket so I'm not carrying my keys/phone in my hands the whole time.

N&F do stretch a lot too. They used to be super tight on me the first few weeks but after a few months they've stretched a lot. It's a little bit more of a slim fit now instead of a skinny fit. I went tts for the skinny guys.

I'll post some pictures soon too. Fades are starting to show up a lot nicer now!

you are a girl? :lawl:

areyounoob 12-20-2011 01:03 AM

For my skinny guys the only thing that noticeably stretched was the waist. It stretched like 1.5"... pretty fucking much. My thighs stretched a bit but not so much. I have massive knee bags though -_-

PJ 12-20-2011 03:32 PM

Made by the guys over at N&F.. Here are the Unbranded Tapered Low Rise..

It's hard to tell by pictures because of the lighting.. But when I first bought them, they were almost black. Anyways..

I don't get fades that are too crazy, and that's because I prefer buying TTS rather than sizing down.. Just a personal preference. So after about the 6 month mark they did stretch quite a bit.

New year, new project. Moving on to Nudies and APC.

areyounoob 12-20-2011 04:01 PM

Ugh this is so lame I miss my old crispy feeling denim. I remember before I would just run my fingers on my combs to feel the stiffness of them but now if I do that it pulls even without pressure. Before it never even budged. :(

I'll probably start on a new pair of denim in the new year too. I really like the indigo hue of my N&F Natural Indigo's though.. and I'm probably not looking hard enough but it's pretty hard for me to come by denim that's more close to indigo than dark/deep indigo.
