What are some black denim recommendation |
i got 511's from levi's. They are skinny fit, but got a bit of a stretch to it. Soft and comfy, good for layering with coats/jackets. |

Here are a couple pics: http://i.imgur.com/fdi4hRm.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YEThp60.jpg Albert had "pre-inforced" the crotch around 2 months into the life of the jeans with a large patch sewn into the inner crotch (those are the threads on the outside of the crotch area). So basically now all he has to do for any crotch blowout is run a few stitches over the hole, binding the patch that's already there to the blowout. |
^What denim? Digging the electric blue. |
^i believe its n&f from a few pages back |
Yep. N&F Skinny Guy in Deep Indigo. |

hey guys. new to raw denim and would like to get my first pair. wheres the best place in terms of price to get them locally or online. Thanks |
Locally, dutil is your best bet with the most selection Posted via RS Mobile |
Dutil is pretty good but some of there stuff is pretty pricey depending on the brand. For your first pair I'd probably recommend naked and famous because they're pretty cheap and their quality is pretty good for the price. |
Was at Hills of Kerrisdale today and decided to check out what N&F they had. I was impressed by the variety and range of sizes they had available, it was better than what Dutil had in stock last time I was there for sure. Prices are decent too, with most jeans being $15-$20 more than it would be online from Tate and Yoko. |
thx guys |
blueowl for online. The guy is located in Seattle so if you plan to go there, contact him to check out his store. They sell N&F's as well as other jeans. Japan Blue/Momotoro would be a good brand/price point to look into if you want something that will be more durable and of higher quality than N&F |
Ugh, i tried on some of my denim purchases from 11 and 12... and damn I gained weight.... so many pairs I don't fit into anymore, including my beloved 'blue crash' :( |
N&F is trash. They stretch out to the point that they're unwearable. I went through 3 pairs before I realized what garbage they were and ultimately donated them to the Salvation Army. Honestly, my W+H denim are the best raw denim I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Fit is similar to Dior and they don't stretch much or lose their shape. |

The waist will stretch though especially if you don't belt and your waist keeps getting bigger. |

Which dior (and W+H) fit are you talking about? My straight leg W+H fit nothing like any of my DH (both 19 and 17.5's). I find DH fits a lot more slim and the overall silhouette is much nicer! |
N&F has a long lineup, most being items that I would never consider. However, they have a few pieces that are worth looking into, considering its value. I personally like momotaro. If you are a taller person with slimmer legs, their tapered fit is spot on IMO. |
