CALGARY - They could have taken a more cautious and calculated approach to giving Cory Schneider his first NHL regular-season start for the Vancouver Canucks.
They could have waited until Monday in Columbus, instead of thrusting the highly touted goaltender into the glare of the Hockey Night In Canada spotlight on Saturday night.
Then again, why wait?
"I just felt it was the right time for him to go and the right time for the team," said Canucks coach Alain Vigneault

Good call CH28, can't wait to see in action tonight.

Also, the CBC panel is talking about rumors that Dave Nonis might be heading to Toronto.

Nonis is Burke's right hand man :)

They also said that Cammaleri is on the block which is surprising.

Are we on the power play or short handed?
Fuck the Nuck's look sloppy again.

fobulaus 11-29-2008 06:30 PM

rofl, yeah its pretty hard to tell who is on the powerplay.. both times... we didn't even get a shot on goal on the second PP

LsquareD 11-29-2008 06:33 PM

yep.. Very sloppy powerplays. On the bright side.. Wellwood is schooling people in faceoffs :lol

6thGear. 11-29-2008 06:37 PM

my seats were like 30 feet from schnieder at the CAN vs USA during WJC. he's got amazing poise for such a young guy at the time. its just a matter of time now b4 he gets a starting NHL job

fobulaus 11-29-2008 06:39 PM

who's in charge of the PP on the coaching staff? he should be fired. seriously. they aren't gonna go far in the playoffs with such crappy PP. I find wellwoods faceoff tactic pretty neat. i'm gonna have to remember to try that at my next hockey game.lol

Grandmaster TSE 11-29-2008 06:52 PM

very smart move by wellwood for the faceoff
raymond's speed is good, but i think hes going so fast hes losing control of the puck constantly
