^That's true as well. But I'm sure cory would have made both shots if he was balanced. But we'll never know like we'll never know if demitra or wellwood would have won the faceoff...

All I can say is just try to ride out this storm of losing streak and I'm sure they'll be back in stride. We all know how close the team has been so I'm sure they are practicing extra hard and talk amongst eachother

AzNightmare 12-02-2008 11:25 AM

All I know is Luongo or Sanford wouldn't of slipped like that. A rookie goaltender mistake. That's all it is. Doesn't really matter anymore. The game's done.

Grandmaster TSE 12-02-2008 11:37 AM

he probably caught an edge on his skate, it happens

Yeah but Luongo is also not agile like Sandy or Schneider. His primary asset is his uncanny ability to play positionally sound but when he's caught out of place, he rarely ever makes those acrobatic saves you see from the likes of Hasek.

So it's really unfair to shoulder the CBJ loss to Schneider. I can already see some aspects of Schneiders game that will surpass Luongo's.

Tim Budong 12-02-2008 11:58 AM

lets hope Sanford is goin to be ok and thus another goalie....dont need to be rushed to the garage....

on a side note...
with Avery now back in the west..what i predicted when he signed back in the west was that he will trash on Celine Dion..and...from tsn.ca

"it's become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds."

Grandmaster TSE 12-02-2008 12:14 PM

hahaha, so much shit gonna happen with calgary and dallas tonight

avery vs phaneuf and iginla

Tim Budong 12-02-2008 12:36 PM

so centerice only!

Hondaracer 12-02-2008 01:51 PM

^ I think it's on our sportsnet as well

Grandmaster TSE 12-02-2008 01:54 PM

damnit, avery just got suspended for tonite's game

got suspended for his comment about sloppy seconds, HAHA

Ch28 12-02-2008 02:01 PM

Avery is being suspended for disparaging remarks he made this morning in reference to Calgary player Dion Phaneuf and Phaneuf's girl friend Elisha Cuthbert, who previously had a relationship with Avery.

"I am really happy to be back in Calgary, I love Canada," Avery said on camera this morning in Calgary. "I just want to comment on how it's become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don't know what that's about. Enjoy the game tonight."

:bowrofl:

ienhz 12-02-2008 02:05 PM

What?! That would've been such a fun game to watch!

411ken 12-02-2008 02:25 PM

Grandmaster TSE 12-02-2008 02:35 PM

europeeing 12-02-2008 02:39 PM

Celine Dion = Dion Phaneuf. :p

Edit: Avery never fails to amuse/annoy me... What an idiot!

Harvey Specter 12-02-2008 03:24 PM

Lol @ Celine Dion. Dion is a little bitch as well who's had his fair share of dirty hits. And last game Mitchell was egging him on to drop the gloves after a late hit but he staked away.

Ronin 12-02-2008 03:24 PM

Jack Bauer is going to kill Avery now.

hi5-ive 12-02-2008 03:31 PM

Damn it i was looking forward to getting some PIM from Avery tonight!!

punkwax 12-02-2008 04:12 PM

Avery is the biggest piece of shit in the NHL.
Phaneuf is a great player, but seems like he can be a punk POS as well.
What the fuck is wrong with Elisha Cuthbert??
Theres gotta be something going on that the general public isn't aware of to make her depreciate in value to potential suitors. Genital warts perhaps? Crusty and sloppy seconds?? Like a tacquito!

Harvey Specter 12-02-2008 04:20 PM

LOL, videos of when fans fight players....

That was a mistake on Schneiders part, but I wouldn't blame him for either losses in the games he played in.

'I'm ahead of schedule,' says Canucks’ Luongo

Roberto Luongo spent nearly an hour on the ice Tuesday with Vancouver Canucks goaltender consultant Ian Clark and acknowledged for the first time he believes he is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a groin strain.
