Not to mention, Calgary is now 1 point behind us in standings. SOB!!!!!!!!!

:flamemad:

Harvey Specter 11-29-2008 08:59 PM

I doubt any team in the NW will take a big ass lead in the standings this season. I think It'll be all bunched up until the last game of the season like in previous seasons.

SumAznGuy 11-29-2008 09:05 PM

Don't say Lu would have won this game, cause Schnider didn't lose the game. At least on thursday the Nuck's had chances but no finish. Tonight they looked very sloppy, almost like no energy. Poor passes and bad penalty's. On the PP, the 2 Flames forecheckers were able to keep the Nuck's deep in their own end.
Bright side, Schnider looks good. Poised, well positioned.
Wellwood/Nuck's faceoff percentage looked good.

fullyentranced 11-29-2008 09:18 PM

wtf was with all the giveaways with 5 minutes left...
Iginla himself was given numerous free passes to just skate in after the horrible turnovers..

Amuse 11-29-2008 09:23 PM

Schneider played well but the team didn't.

fobulaus 11-29-2008 09:48 PM

yup, we didn't even get a good shot on goal during any PPs... lots of mistakes, always setting up mitchell for 1 on 2s.. can't finish any passes... reminds me how we played in the beginning of the season

Ikkaku 11-29-2008 09:53 PM

slowly we're going back to the canucks of last season... bandwagon is slowing down... jump off!

its definitely not the same without him but we still beat Minny, Pens, Wings without him

That was a boring game, but let's not give up hope. Schneider played really well given the pressure the media has given him.

lilaznviper 11-29-2008 11:08 PM

this always happens near the end of november early december...
the cancuks always suck during this period of time...last two years were the same haha
schneider played pretty damn good today... jsut that the canucks couldnt score thats all

Harvey Specter 11-29-2008 11:15 PM

lol, we lost 2 games and people are ready to jump of the wagon......what a city.

jigga250 11-29-2008 11:26 PM

OMG TRADE SCHNEIDER MAKE WELLWOOD GOALiE111!!!1

AzNightmare 11-30-2008 12:34 AM

damn. I missed both Thursday and tonights game because I was busy. Good thing I did I guess. I've caught every game in November until Thursday. haha

BlackV62K2 11-30-2008 02:47 AM

Ouch, back to back loses to a divisional team. It wouldn't as bad if we lost teams in other divisions.

ADVMOTORS 11-30-2008 04:32 AM

shitty game

Hondaracer 11-30-2008 09:41 AM

at least its the blue jackets tommarow, couldnt ask for a much better bounce back game

Except that we're notorious for losing games against bad teams a la kings.

Hondaracer 11-30-2008 10:31 AM

^ this is a different team bro, we've seemed to kick that streak from last year if u havent been paying attention :P

Though in fairness, we did lose the last game against CBJ back in October.

I do have to say, like most other people have mentioned, Schneider did look sharp yesterday. He definitely looks more agile than Sanford did in the Calgary loss, and he made some good saves. Hopefully he'll get a few more chances to play on this road trip to get his feel for the NHL style of play. He's definitely a keeper though. Can't blame him for the loss last night.

As for the rest of the team, it was pretty sloppy play. Barely any emotion, D caught on too many 2 on 1 opportunities by Calgary and spent too much time defending, and not enough time trying to put pucks in the net. They'll definitely need to dig up the energy from somewhere since their next 6 games are on the road with the brutal 7 games in 15 nights schedule.

Was at the game in Cowtown. Its sad to see they have gone back to the dump and chase game of last year and the year before, and what makes it worse is they dont even chase it, so basically its just a dump and retreat. For the couple of times they would attempt a chase, only one guy would chase it in, but he would be taken out by 2 Calgary guys while another would be back to scoop up the puck and bring it back into the canucks zone. Pyatt was his usual Pylon self. Cory played great minus the one 5 hole goal, and watching a couple of his goal robs was awesome. Im pretty choked having drove down there, paid a lot for the ticket, paying for a place to stay and having that team show up. :( Another positive though was all the hot chicks that are canucks fans in Calgary. :p

I would agree for the most part, but near the end of the game I was very impressed that Pylon responded to the hit on Henrik Sedin and got in a fight, even when I think they had Mitchell and Bieksa out there at the time.

I don't think it should be called "jumping the bandwagon." It's just that the Canucks are capable of much more but they just didn't bring it nor they just didn't care as much with this game. Although it's an 82 game stretch and its unreasonable to expect an 82 game consistency, the reality is also that Hockey is not just a sport, but also an entertainment business.

So basically people will be upset just like people who get upset after buying movie tickets in which the movie sucked. Just look at this guy:

so after 1 loss were" back to the dump and chase" ??

they were playing an important road game and had to get back to defensive basics to make sure they had the best chance possible to win with Schneider in net, up until that point he was totally unproven under the stress of a real NHL game so i thought they did the right thing..

they clearly were playing that way early on, but as soon as it became 2-0 you saw them switch up the style back to the one which they usually play with Lu in net, a harder agressive forecheck which creates chances and in turn created a goal

if it wasnt for the 3rd goal from the flames im sure they would have had at least 2 more good chances before it was over

Armind 11-30-2008 03:16 PM

What I was trying to say is that our team lacks confidence without Lui.
