Don't know if its different but in the NBA you travel with the team regardless if you're playing or not. Don't they travel with the team in the NHL if they play or not and just sit in the press box and watch the game ?

The biggest joke is the NFL pro bowl. The NFL is acutally thinking about playing it before the Super Bowl so people will watch the damn thing.

If that was their intention, Sundin would've announced his return tomorrow like originally planned. The reason Sundin went with them to Edmonton was because he felt he might be able to play, given his physical condition after a few more practices. Obviously he felt like he was up to the task after today's skate. So although it was no secret, it was an uncertainty, so it's nice to have a little confirmation if it is indeed true.

Considering his physical condition, maybe he wanted EDM, a fairly easy team to start his season with. :D Easier than STL anyways, and for sure SJ. Well, theoritically easier, but you know how the Canucks are.
