The seller is legit. They always auction off one set of World Jr, World Championship or whatever jerseys they just played in to raise money for Hockey Canada.

Or you can shell out $25,000 for a game worn John Tavares jersey

http://cgi.ebay.com/John-Tavares-GAM...QQcmdZViewItem

Price dropped to: $10,300.00

Still hella expensive

Hondaracer 01-06-2009 03:07 PM

it's all collectors/dealers bidding on that jersey obviously..

you buy it now for 10k or even 25 and if he turns out to be a long-term super star it's worth double or more

although Bob Mackenzie said today that he thought neither Tavares nor Hedman were franchise players or ever will be

And I believe the NBA has a maximum amount of votes you can enter per household??? i forgot how they do it.

Oh totally agreed. But as long as they are in the game thats probably more important. Well as long as Carbonneau is not the coach of the East we are good! lol

on the Rick Ball show..

he's right though, Tavares isnt going to be a Crosby, Ovechkin, etc.

he isnt a leader, he has questionable work ethic, etc.

Tavares might be a top line player, but he isnt somone you would sign for 20 years and build a franchise around, he doesnt posses the same things that players like crosby have

Hell, even Hodgson could be considered more of a "Franchise player" imo and really he still isnt at that same level

Looked like just another face wash that happens routinely, but you don't see other players biting, well except for Marc Savard and Jordin Tootoo. Andrew Peters is useless but Ruutu is a gong show.

If crosby was a girl he would be the girl in the BEST BJ thread.

Semin was just trying to pull some ufc shit

Fuck me, it's 3-0 Flames vs. the Sharks in the 1st period and Wild and Avs both won.

flawless 01-06-2009 07:07 PM

lol it makes sense to have the pro bowl at the end of the season. They still play with contact and could still cause injury. Given the length of the football season, it would suck if you had a couple star players injured in it.

Sundin ready to play in Edmonton

The eagerly awaited game debut of Mats Sundin may only be one sleep away. Since arriving in Vancouver, the superstar Swede has been surrounded by speculation around when he will be game ready.

Following practice this morning Sundin, skating alongside Kyle Wellwood and Mason Raymond for the second day in a row, declared he felt good and would likely see ice time in Wednesday's game in Edmonton.

"It feels like if nothing changes tomorrow morning, I think there is a good chance I’ll play tomorrow," said Sundin. "If not, then obviously Friday. Unless I feel worse tomorrow morning or tonight I think there is a good chance I’ll play tomorrow."

Harvey Specter 01-06-2009 08:45 PM

I'm just hoping we get a win tomorrow with Sundin or no Sundin. Every team that the Canucks give a shit about in the standings won tonight. The Canucks can't afford a losing streak because the Flames are hot, the Wild are on a 4 game winning streak and the Avs and Oilers aren't too far from catching up in the standings.

Edit:

Yup, baseball allstar game is worth it because of the home field incentive.
