i could care less if labarara or sandford came back next year theres still alot better back ups than these two out there for the same price. and you will see if labarbara isnt playing on a consistent basis his skill level when it comes to throwing him in a game will drop off significantly. and with lu in net as a starter you cannot expect to get more than 10 games a season and thats hard for any back up. all we need is someone to come in off the bench and not steal games for us but at least keep us in a game and not give up garbage goals

Please elaborate on who u could get who is a more skilled backup than labarbs or sandford for a similar price

Clouts had maintained a pretty expensive lifestyle even as his career hit the skids, he is currently trying to sue the Kings over his contract buyout. He is staying in Texas with his brother in Texas because he is still desperate to be around hockey, his brother is the coach of the CHL team in Corpus Christi, and that was the only team that would allow him being around even if that meant just hanging around the team and not playing.

Clouts still thinks its a matter of recovering from surgery he had awhile ago and thats why he isn't in the NHL, but I've spoken to a few of his former teammates and the consensus is that he's just not mentally fit let alone mentally ready to handle being an NHL goalie again.

Pretty sad what has happened to him in the last few years.

still he made MILLIONS! how can you blow it all away so fast.

how do u know all this anyways?

cdizzle_996 01-13-2009 02:03 PM

I think I'd take Lebarbra. He has more experience, sure his past record wasnt that great, but look who he played for. He's a much bigger presence in net much like Luongo.

Pretty funny how that happened and the next day he went down with a suspicious knee injury, and nothing was really heard of again. He was never interviewed, never traveled with the team, and he secretly dissapeared.

I was told something similar about a cover up and stuff. In a nutshell I was told that Dan use to chill at Brandi’s quite a bit, met the suspect and his buddies there who started supplying Dan with drugs here and there and in return Dan purchased and insured the truck for the suspect.

^^^ The second most popular Canuck urban legend...

right behind Jeff Brown doing Captain Kirk's wife....

I would still prefer Sanford. While he does seem to let in the bad goal once a game, his worse is no wear near Labarera's. Let's just see if Labarera was just on a hot streak and hopefully he really did just need a change of scenery the success was the real deal. It'll be a shame to see Sanford leave, he seems like the whole team player type, especially with Lu.
