wait.. . why would he be in Richmond?

AzNightmare 05-31-2010 12:03 AM

if he had kept his mouth shut, he would have had plenty of ice time since our D self destructed (injuries) as the season went on.

orange7 05-31-2010 01:28 AM

^

yup..

our D went out right after he was booted.

Canucks Sign Free Agent Defenceman Chris Tanev

Tanev is 20 years old. He is listed as 6'2" and 185 pounds. The Canucks have signed the undrafted kid to a 3-year entry level contract. He played for the R.I.T. (Rochester Institute of Technology) Tigers of the NCAA in 2009-10, racking up 10 goals and 28 points in 41 games (4th on the team). Born in East York Ontario, he played 4 seasons in the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League and another season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League

He's more of a prospect than what we would consider an FA.

Yeah but I think we'll just end up waiving him.

Looks like they are reloading the Moose. Hopefully one of them pans out!

woob 05-31-2010 01:18 PM

I guess Gillis is trying to make sure our defensive depth will never again be an issue after the past few seasons of injuries. Good on him.

CRS 05-31-2010 03:03 PM

Yann Sauve is good one too but that was a while back.

Don't know about this sweatt guy?
