This will be the second time that a Canadian city has hosted an outdoor game after Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium set the standard in the inaugural Winter Classic between the Oilers and Canadiens in 2003.

This will also be the second time that the Pittsburgh Penguins have been involved in the Winter Classic after they faced the Buffalo Sabres at Ralph Wilson Stadium in 2008.

I would have rather seen the Canucks play the Flames outdoors.

The play should be "The Sedins" and not Daniel Sedin. The contest is for "Play of the Year", and there's no reason that it needs to be credited to one person. The "play" includes whatever that leads up to it, not just the finish.

Pittsburgh and Montreal in their 2nd outdoor games? Is anyone else annoyed with this? IMO other teams should've got a shot at playing in an outdoor game before Pittsburgh and Montreal got their 2nd. I would've much rather seen Wash/NJ/NYI vs NYR @ Yankee Stadium and Van/Ott vs Cal for the Canadian outdoor game.
