hawks weren't purely built from tanking like everyone thinks. sure they were bad for a bit and got toews/kane/seabrook, but so were canucks in the late 90s which fetched us sedins/kesler. hawks just made some damn good trades and signed key free agents.

Haha, the nice thing about hockey is that this rarely happens, i mean you get ppl like Crosby and Ovie but the drop-off is never as precipitous as basketball.
