AV actually seems to give Bernier the benefit of the doubt more often than not. He's giving Bernier, "a fresh start" to get his game back. Yesterday, Bernier of course was a no show, he has to pick it up. Hopefully his streakyness allows him to get a few on this roadtrip.

He's 24, Chinese and from Vancouver, what are the odds such demographic stats would have become a 2nd line scoring threat in the NHL? Well, the Avs are severely depleted so I doubt he would've gotten much of a chance elsewhere to crack the lineup elsewhere, so the stars have aligned, but it's still no small feat for him to do as well as he has. The guy's scoring at a 60 point season pace.

I hate to say it but Burke/Wilson combo is really fucking up the Leafs. Burke will most likely keep getting a pass from the ownership but I'm surprised that Wilson is still around. Even Don Cherry has called this guy out and he's known to be a little bitch and going after players. There's a reason why Sutter got rid of Dion because he doesn't always listen to the coach so I wish Wilson luck when he tries to talk shit to him in front of the media like he did with Kessel.

If Burke is going all crazy with his roster by dumping players maybe he should also look at a coaching change.
