San Jose got thornton for a bunch of garbage.

Leafs got Phaneuf for a bunch of spare parts.

calgary is never out of the mix...they are just saying that because sutter said he had no interest in kovie.....he said the same thing about jokinen too!

I think it would be more like Bernier, Schiender, Grabner and a first or 2nd round pick for Kovie.

It took this for penguins to get Hossa a few years ago:

Atlanta Thrashers traded Marian Hossa and Pascal Dupuis to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Colby Armstrong, Erik Christensen, Angelo Esposito and a 1st-round selection in 2008.

What will the canucks equivalent of that package? I don't know much about Armstrong and Christensen.

I'd trade Kes, Schneider + a 1st rounder for Kovi IF we landed extension rights.
