as to why i am a flames fan:
i was a canucks fan back in the day of the laser skate...i was born in edmonton, only lived in alberta for a year...lived in bc pretty much my whole life(vancouver for 8 years)...kamloops(14yrs) mostly, home of the kamloops blazers(iggy, regher)...followed the talent...plus i like being the devils advocate to all my friends(nucklehead fans)

plus havent been a fan of the roster of the canucks for many years...

Good move by the Flames to get rid of Jokinen. Like I said before, this guy is a cancer and on paper it looks like the Flames are in decent shape going forward and should be able to make it into the playoffs.

lol are you kidding? Kotalik and Higgins are GARBAGE and Kotalik is signed for 2 more years at 3mil/year! LOL Not to mention Kotalik doesn't even want to be in Calgary and had to waive his NTC (of which Calgary was one of 3 cities listed).

Nobody else in the league would take him for free, let along trade a 50+ pt guy for him, regardless of how overpaid he is.

Well look at what they traded; did you really expect much for Jokinen? I think the Flames are glad they got something for him and not some minor leaguers. And I think there is potential to turn the team around offensively with the players they got. I can't see the Flames been worse off by trading the players they traded off, it can only get worse or get better from this point on.

Jokinen has the potential to return to being a PPG player (probably only in the east, but still). Kotalik has been watching from the pressbox (healthy scratch) more often than not in the past few weeks. Possibly the worst contract in the league. Did you see all their new offense tonight? It helped them get 15 shots and 0 goals.

I think the flames havent gotten themselves alot of hit or miss type players in there Lineup. Looking at there forwards ud think they have absolutely no problem scoring goals.

Bourque - Langkow - Iglinla
Hagman - Stajan - Dawes
Higgins - Conroy - Kotalik
Moss - Boyd - Nystrom

i know theses arent the actual lineup but, on paper these guys looks really good. no excuses for these guys, they definately have the talent up front. time for them to get the chemistry going
