lol.. gg to the flames | I really hope the flames DO make the playoffs. Would rather have them in than the Wings lingering around. Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Rafalski, Franzen and co are MUCH scarier than Iginla and the rest of those losers Quote:

Yes! That was a sweet game to watch! The Wings are definately in the Hawks players heads.
I still think the Pittsburgh Penguins are the team to beat. In the west, I'm not sold on the Sharks with Nabokov in net. Can anyone name any "big" games Nabokov has won in his career? The same can be said about the Hawks and the Wings. Even the Canucks with their D line the way it is right now.
Anyone can advance in the west. The team that stays healthy and get good goaltending will advance in my opinion.
As for the East, I like the Caps, but the only team I think can challenge the Penguins is the Devils. Should be an interesting few weeks with teams jockeying for position. | West is a tossup like you said. Every team seems to have a hole:
Canucks have a shaky blueline
Hawks have shitty goaltending + the injury of Campbell
Sharks are perennial chokers. ie No show Joe
Phoenix is surging but i dont see them getting too far
Avs are way too young
Preds...dont know too much about them but Shea Weber can't carry the entire team
I really hope Lu steps it up like he did in that 2006-07 post season
When the Kovalchuk trade happened i was thinking PEns vs Devils as well. But the Devils havnt been doing so well as of late...They are stacked upfront but lack a solid blueline.
Pens are essentially the same team as last year:) |
