Well, we will have a golden 14 days opportunity until Canada launches. However, if there's no wait for it here in Vancouver, I would be stuck with the damn Ipad2 which I don't even use. I will decide then on Friday... damn it. There are 5 Apple stores in Washington, take your pick. |

Unfortunately, I actually do have iTunes installed for the iPhone4 I use like once every 2 months since I got it.. I really wish I didn't need it |

At that time, I was working in Ottawa. It only took me about 20 minutes to wait in line for one after work at 5pm on launch date. So I hope the demand in the down south is less than Vancouver. :fullofwin: |
Hmm, how long is the drive to the alderwood apple store? |

Why does an Ipod shuffle need software that does all that? |

Regardless, my iTunes restore was painless and quick as well. And there are a lot of phones without SD cards that aresn't so easy to backup/restore. |
Not confirmed but someone may want to look into this My mom said she heard on the radio that they will only be selling Ipad 2's to US citizens on March 11. So for those who are driving down Thurs night/Fri Morning you might want to do some research just in case. Not sure how Apple will enforce this though (check id? :S?). |
^ I think this is bull... plus, how do you enforce it? it's not like US citizens carry their birth certificate with them all the time |

I wouldn't get an iPad.. What's the point of getting a tablet with no flash..? Can't even stream while you're on the bus or skytrain. Playbook, Xoom or even the TouchPad seems like a much better choice. This is just an oversized iPhone 4.. I swear they're gonna update the iPhone with Photo Booth in a few months. |
Geez, they're going to sell a ton of these. Walmart and Target only got the iPad back in October after all the hype had died down. Oh yeah, Verizon also got the iPad in October. Now you've got all the Apple stores plus major retailers selling them on launch day. I could see some sales records being broken if Apple was able to deliver enough stock to each store. |
I dunno... Apple lost about 20% of the tablet market in the 4th quarter to Android. It even baffles me how that happened when basically the only Android tablet that were readily available at the time was the 7" Galaxy. |

What's really funny is Android people saying Android is an open source system and iOS is closed/proprietary. WTF do you think Flash is? It's 100% proprietary and controlled by a single company (Adobe). If Android was truly open source, they should be supporting HTML5 and not Flash. |

Anyone know if my CDN Visa will work in the US apple store? I have a US shipping address in Blaine, WA (aunt's house). |
Also. Why does Apple need to incessantly say they're better than android? 2011 the year of the copycats? Pfft. There's absolutely no need to put that in the presentation. Users will buy the ipad2 regardless. |
So when does the Xoom come out in Canada? |

LOL when they fix 4g and flash. Why market something that beats iPad due to flash and start selling it without flash at start... :failed: |
You know, Android does not equal Flash. I don't know why people always say things like "at least my phone/tablet supports Flash" when Flash support is fragmented depending on which device you have. Even the Xoom started shipping without Flash support (they say it'll be available Spring 2011). How fucking lame is that? The latest tablet with the Saviour for Android (Honeycomb or v3.0) and it lacks Flash. And ask any owner of an older Android phone if they're still waiting for an update to run the latest version of Flash, or if it will ever become available for their phone. What's the point of supporting a "standard" if you can't even run the newest version? As to Galaxy Tab sales, there's a lot of debate about numbers shipped to retailers vs numbers actually sold to consumers. I know one thing - in my daily Skytrain commute I have yet to see a Galaxy Tab being used by someone, although I know they're out there. I see several iPads every day. Where is this 20% market share? Not in Vancouver, that's for sure. And after trying a Galaxy Tab at Rogersi can see why. Plastic, cheap feeling and not very responsive. Posted via RS Mobile |
