You are an idiot if you think that... No one is fucked even on the the 25th. You realize that stock will still be limited and sold out on the 25th right? So not everyone and their dogs will have one. Even in the US I sold one on their craigslist for 1000+ so good luck with that.

I don't think so, the line up was hectic and a bitch.... A group of us ended up with 25 iPads and most are shipped back to Taiwan and they are already all sold

f00tzilla 03-14-2011 09:13 PM

was there today no stock. the apple store people even took out those line managing poles out for people to line up.. there was like 30 people lined up and they made us wait for an hour only to tell us they do not have any.

talked to a bunch of people there they said they will most likely get a restock on thursday/friday so go then.... bestbuy said that they got less shipped in than they were supposed to but they are taking pre-orders for a $100 down.

sooo if you need one ASAP i guess go down to the states on thursday

HonestTea 03-14-2011 10:23 PM

Wheres the closest Apple Store? Lynnwood? Word on the street that they're restocking on Tuesday?

Fedex does the shipping. Even if they say there's none in stock, if you spot a fedex guy around, just charge in and wait for what's in the delivery.

I waited in line on Saturday, at 1045 they said no stock, go home. At 11, I spotted the Fedex guy and got dibs on the ipads. Since the line disappeared, people who DID NOT line up just got lucky and purchased one.

So go around 11am and camp. FYI fedex guy wears a brown jumpsuit, he enters the Lynnwood apple store on the side door near sephora.

And definitely check Target and Wal-Mart for stock. If you google online, you can find the Target stock check on their website, and the scan codes for the ipad you want.

TRDood 03-17-2011 04:18 PM

Launch date for Targets...

Bellingham 12 in total
Burlington 5 in total

Launch date for BB

Burlington 15 in total, 5 the day after

Targets and BB are pretty much a waste of time, since 12 means 1 for each model/colour.

ssonss1 03-17-2011 08:07 PM

Ordered two on launch day from apple.com with a Canadian visa and US shipping address. They will be delivering this Tuesday. :)

HonestTea 03-17-2011 08:18 PM

^ Was that the stock they had on Launch day?

With no release date set for the iPad 2 in Hong Kong, the devices have fetched close to $15,000 Hong Kong dollars (US$1,924) on the city’s gray market—more than double what they’re retailing for in the U.S.

Stores have been paying couriers in the U.S., the only market where the iPad 2 is currently sold, to buy as many iPads as they can before flying back with them to Hong Kong.

At the store Like, in Sin Tat Plaza, the new iPads were on sale for HK$6,800-HK$14,800, depending on storage capabilities and connectivity. In the U.S., the devices retail for US$499-US$829. Like sold 40-50 of the new iPads on Sunday, shopkeeper Alex Kei said. As of Monday night, the store had 10 iPads left. But he said sales of the original iPad, which were set at the same price points, flew off shelves faster last year.

Hong Kong One, another shop in Sin Tat Plaza, said it sold about 100 iPads Sunday and another 100 Monday, charging HK$6,800-HK$13,000. Like most stores in the mall, the white iPads are commanding a premium. For the top-end model, the white iPads are HK$2,000 more than comparable black units at Hong Kong One. (Black and white models for the same specifications don’t vary in prices in the U.S.)

At Men Tone Digital Telecom, shopkeeper Jealousy Kwok was unpacking large boxes filled with iPad 2s.

“There’s no more room in here,” Mr. Kwok said, pointing to overfilled shelves. The store had close to 100 iPads in stock Monday night after selling about 30 devices Sunday.

On Thursday, the day before the iPad 2 went on sale in the U.S., Men Tone had set the prices at HK$6,000-HK$11,000—with customers putting down a 50% deposit. But after the first day of sales, the store raised its prices to HK$7,250 for the base model and HK$12,000 for the top-end 64GB model with wireless and third-generation wireless access.

“Hong Kong doesn’t have any iPads, and the people here have money,” Mr. Shum said of the premium. His store is expecting to receive about 50 more devices each day for about a week.

No secrets! Just ship them over to someone I know and I got another person to resell it for me to a store.

I am looking for someone to supply me with 100 + iPads

gilly 03-18-2011 09:57 AM

^ u crazy hustler

Ikkaku 03-18-2011 11:48 AM

and this is why most people won't be able to get one for a while unless they line up like a bitch, like those looking for iphone4's

You want it at the retail price? Line up
You want it but you don't have access to the market? Pay a premium

Most people don't give a shit about the ipad so thats why they wait. If you care, then pay
