Apple ads are the best. Compare them to ads for the Xoom or Thunderbolt which look like they're targeting the Transformers crowd. Lots of special effects but little about the product itself. The Xoom is the worst talking about their 3D interface and implying it's a graphical powerhouse when in fact it gets spanked by an iPad 2.

The gf's ipad2 does just a good a job of sitting on the coffee table as my Tegra2 tablet... Here's a tip, don't leave the thing next to a laptop or you'll never use it. I haven't touched either tablet in a long time.

I think that's pretty obvious. How come your gf got one then?

She got suckered by the commercials. I told her to wait a few weeks for the iPad2. The novelty lasted a few days.

I'd do that when I'm cooking something new and have the recipe on the screen!

I have friends who convinced themselves they needed a new laptop. They never use them because they always have their desktop handy (whether at work or home), and it's much nicer working on something with a large screen, full size keyboard and runs much faster. Oh, and they now have the added workload of keeping them in "sync", something they never really had to consider before. So their laptops never get used.

Conslusion: Laptops are useless for the majority of people.

Dude, don't get all butt hurt whenever someone expresses that the iPad 2 is not the greatest thing since sliced bread.
