Why does it matter? Is two weeks too long to wait? Do you need an iPad 2 as soon as it comes out so you can be cooler than the next guy?

Even the owners/creators of flash are working on a flash -> HTML5 converter. LOL

Man, why did they have to pull VLC from iPhone/iPad? That app was so amazing, being able to play just about any format.

It would have been a good reason to get the iPad, just load up whatever media and go...

Lots of reviews for the iPad 2 are up and they're all pretty impressed.

What's interesting is one area they all seem to agree on is how the iPad 2 "feels". You pick one up and it just feels great in your hands and gives the impression of a high-quality well engineered product (not the same can be said for other tablets, some of which actually "creak" when picked up because of the plastic flexing//bending).

Any photographers in here? They'll know exactly what I'm talking about - some cameras/lenses just feel solid and well made while others feel like "cheap plastic", even though they may both perform equally well.


This is someting that doesn't show up on spec sheets, but makes a big difference to consumers when looking at something in a store. And it could be the biggest selling point when consumers get to pick them up alongside competitors tablets.

Are there any microsoft WORD/EXCEL apps in the app store?

Duty for electronics such as the ipad is 0%. You only need to pay HST.

Limit is 2 per person we are now at Portland.

Reason we came down here it's because we avoid state tax and we can happily pay the custom tax because we don't have to pay 10% extra for state tax!

Word and excel is a different program for iPad!

Did lines start forming already? I am going to lay off the ipad2 flipping idea. Going premium on CL is only about 10%, I see even only $50 mark ups.

Ship em to HK :). Wait out until they actually drop and the prices should go up.

It's lighter and the thinner profile does make it easier to hold for long time (iPad 1 gave me hand sore after 30min)

Camera is crappy. Feels a lil faster to load stuff. Still haven't gotten used to the new white color.
